Bottom Line

The Comfort Inn at Thousand Hills is a budget hotel just off 76 in Branson, but its modern style and cleanliness make it seem like rates would be higher than they generally are. A large, lodge-inspired lobby has lots of comfortable seating
and the breakfast area is contemporary, though small and crowded on weekends. Many major sights are within walking distance, but a rental car is necessary to truly explore the area. Rooms are decorated in chain-standard style and basic colors, but they're clean and have tiled bathrooms with granite countertops. Some bathrooms are small, though, and other rooms suffer exterior noise. There's also a fitness center, indoor pool,
hot tub, and sauna, as well as free Wi-Fi and an extensive, free hot breakfast.

Scene

A modern, lodge-like budget hotel

From the luminous antler chandelier to
the beautiful wood floors, the lobby of this chain hotel gives off a lodge-like feel, while
maintaining a modern vibe with contemporary stone and tile work. The leather and suede sofas are
modern and comfortable, and the majestic stone fireplace sets a cozy mood.
Even the bright lighting under the wooden front desk makes the atmosphere feel
trendy yet home-like. Floor-to-ceiling windows add some natural light to the
small, stylish breakfast area, while the dark tile and granite countertops are up-to-date. The grounds outside are well taken care of and the outdoor
sun deck off the pool has seating and lounge chairs for sunbathers. The indoor pool is pleasantly sunny, with a high wooden roof and white plastic chairs. The hotel is notably clean and pleasant, with donuts available for free in the lobby throughout the day.

Location

In a quiet neighborhood, within walking distance of attractions, restaurants, and shops

The Comfort Inn at Thousand Hills is in a
quiet area that’s still close to downtown Branson, but away from the traffic. Lone Star
Steakhouse is next door and the Branson Variety Theater, Baldknobbers Theatre,
Thousand Hills Golf Resort, and Andy Williams Moon River Theatre are all within walking distance. The Butterfly Palace and
Rainforest Adventure is a seven-minute drive away, while the Stone Hill Winery, Dolly
Parton’s Dixie Stampede, and White Water amusement park are all under five minutes
from the hotel. A rental car is necessary to see all the Branson attractions. Parking is free at the hotel.

Rooms

Exceptionally clean, but basic in style; some have jetted tubs

Most rooms at this hotel are outfitted in
neutral tones, from the carpet to the bedspreads to the drapes, but some have red
recliners, chairs, and sofas for a bit of variety. Rooms are extremely clean and well-organized, in standard budget chain style, but some guests do complain
of exterior noise. Flat-screen TVs, microwaves, and mini-fridges are all
housed in dark wood armoires, and coffeemakers sit atop side tables, freeing up valuable space. Some rooms have large
jetted tubs, walk-in closets, and extra square footage while others have notably small
bathrooms. Almost every bathroom at the hotel has granite countertops, and many
have one sink inside the bathroom and one outside. Large tan tiles make the
bathrooms look more contemporary, even if the colors are boring. Comfort Care
amenities and hair dryers are available in all bathrooms.

Features

Indoor pool area, free Wi-Fi, and free hot breakfast

The amenities offered at the Comfort Inn
at Thousand Hills may be more than some would expect from the brand. Free
Wi-Fi, parking, and concierge services are all included, as is a free
breakfast with both hot and cold items. The indoor pool is open late into the night, and there’s also a hot tub and a sauna. The fitness center has large, bright windows and a few
machines, while the game room has a pool table and arcade games. There are laundry facilities and a gift shop on-site, as well as a meeting room and a business area
with two computers; copy and fax services are also available. There is no on-site
restaurant or bar, besides the breakfast area.
