Tucked away in the Orzak Mountains, Stormy Point Village is an upscale timeshare resort designed like a quaint Cape Cod town. This family-friendly property offers a couple hundred charming stand-alone cottages with up to four bedrooms, full kitchens with washer/dryers and dishwashers, fireplaces, and private porches, all set on lovely (yet hilly) grounds overlooking Table Rock Lake. The outdoor pools and picnic areas are great for the warmer months, but a full entertainment program with seasonal activities is available year-round, and the indoor pool and gym are fantastic perks for the colder days. The property is somewhat secluded but offers easy driving access to Branson and Silver Dollar City, each located within 15 minutes of the resort. For something closer to town, consider Best Western Center Pointe Inn, though they lack full kitchens and only have microwaves.
Scene
Family-friendly timeshare resort styled like a Cape Cod village
Arriving at Stormy Point Village feels like being transported halfway across the country to Cape Cod. The property is built by a lake instead of by the sea, but it was designed to resemble the quaint villages of the Massachusetts peninsula. The property features its own 63-foot lighthouse, picnic areas, and over 200h charming cottages with porches furnished by white Adirondack chairs, all spread over a vast, hilly area set among the Ozark Mountains. Interiors are packed with nautical-inspired details, including oars, helms, anchors, fishing nets, large fish models hanging from poles, and wood paneling throughout. The main lobby is a sunny, two-story space with elegant wooden floors, a large stone fireplace, and lamps designed like helms, while other common areas are decorated with large canoes, rope lamps, and lobsters. However, instead of kitschy and overdone, the property feels cute and appealing. The grounds are spacious and beautifully maintained, and feature cute gazebos, wooden bridges over small streams, and shrubs. Most guests here are families -- many of them timeshare owners of some of the cottages -- and there is a wide array of amenities for those traveling with kids, including a water park, kiddy pools, a kids’ club, and a playground. Travelers who don’t need the residential living perks may want to consider the cheaper Chateau on the Lake Resort & Spa, which is also on the shores of Table Rock Lake and features tons of family-friendly amenities and large rooms. Hotel Grand Victorian is a solid alternative for those wanting to stay within walking distance of shopping, dining and attractions in Branson, while the Welk Resort Branson offers good value in the same area as Stormy Point Village.

Local attractions such as Dolly Parton’s Stampede Dinner & Show, the Grand Country Music Hall, and the Veteran’s Memorial Museum are all also just within 15 minutes of the property, while the drive to Silver Dollar City takes 10 minutes. There is free outdoor parking at the hotel.

Indoor and outdoor pools, water park, kids’ club, gym, and two dining options
The property is best enjoyed in the summer, when guests can make the most of the outdoor areas, but Stormy Point is an all-season resort with lots going on year-round. The outdoor pools are a highlight here, with spacious decks, loungers, and a laid-back atmosphere. One of the pools has its own kiddy section, but there is also a separate water park for children, complete with slides and water features for babies, toddlers, and older kids. The indoor pool is a great perk in the colder months, as is the the playground and the kids’ club, which offers a full range of activities for a small fee. There is also a well-equipped gym with cardio and strength-training machines, as well as hot tubs and a sauna. The hotel lacks a spa.
