Though many travelers use planes to get from A to B, there’s nothing quite like taking a more leisurely, more scenic route aboard a luxury train. While there are plenty of journeys to choose from, the Belmond Royal Scotsman has a brand new amenity that’ll be sure to pique many travelers’ interest—a full-service spa car. The Bamford Haybarn Spa will make its debut on a five-day tour of the Scottish Highlands that departs on April 17. Guests will be able to enjoy treatments—from deep tissue massages to facials to manicures and pedicures—in one of two private treatment rooms. The spa was designed with ecology in mind: Sustainable wood from Scotland and the Cotswolds line the ceiling, and treatments are complemented with botanical products. “We are excited to launch our first spa carriage,” Belmond Trains & Cruises managing director Gary Franklin said in a statement. “We are now able to offer our guests a new way to relax, de-stress, slow down, and to reflect on their journey with us.”
