The upscale Inn at Fontanel is not a typical bed and breakfast. Styled as an elegant country farmhouse, it consists of six suites surrounded by 2,700 square feet of decks, walkways, and patios with views of the garden courtyard. The Grand Southern Suite is the most luxurious, with a huge walk-in closet, while the King Guest House has a fireplace and the Carriage House has a rooftop patio. The mid-range Aloft Nashville West End is a music-themed property located on a commercial stretch of road near Vanderbilt University and within walking distance of such attractions as Music Row. Funky, modern interiors include a pool table in the lobby, while the bar and lounge area have art work reflecting Nashville's country music lineage. There's a large rooftop terrace with good views of the city as well as a small fitness center. The 139 rooms are spacious and modern, though poorly lit and decorated in a dark color scheme. 

The hip Capitol Hotel Downtown Nashville is fresh from a 2015 renovation that transformed the former motel into a modern and stylish hotel. Travelers seeking a night on the town without busting the budget will find this hotel an attractive option that’s within walking distance of Bridgestone arena. Its 100 rooms are small but clean and tastefully decorated with comfortable beds and mini-fridges, and all guests get a free hot breakfast. Like many downtown Nashville hotels, it fills up during major conventions and busy weekends, so plan ahead and have a back-up hotel.
