The lower-middle-range Hampton Inn Biloxi is a solid option for tourists and business travelers who prefer not to stay in the area’s bustling casino hotels. The Hampton Inn is located just across Beach Boulevard from the Gulf of Mexico and a four-minute drive from the Hard Rock casino. The hotel offers all the amenities that make it a popular chain, including free hot breakfast, a laundry room, and free Wi-Fi and parking. It also has a fitness center and outdoor pool, but both are on the small side. Rooms are clean and spacious, and come with microwaves, mini-fridges, and coffeemakers. Many rooms feature sweeping views of the Gulf, and some have whirlpool tubs and sleeper sofas. The nearby historic White House Hotel often has similar rates, as well as a larger pool and popular restaurant/bar for only slightly higher rates.

The upscale Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Biloxi is a hip and stylish casino resort that can be a ton of fun for couples and groups who like to party. Public spaces resemble a rock music museum, with colorfully illuminated displays of memorabilia. There’s as much to do as see, with a casino, full-service spa and salon, concert hall, disco, huge outdoor pool, and nine restaurants. The 479 rooms are spacious, and modern, with distinctive designs that include large walk-in showers and beautiful twin vanities in either granite or marble. But as a party-oriented hotel, things can get a little loud at times. And while rates are generally reasonable, they can spike on weekends. Travelers might want to comparison shop with the Beau Rivage Resort & Casino Biloxi next door, which can offer lower rates. 

The upper-middle-range Golden Nugget Biloxi is a casino resort destination with a slight Vegas feel, located a half mile from the beach. Many guests stay put to enjoy the tricked-out pools, spa, bars, chain restaurants, and 24-hour gambling. The Golden Nugget is not an ideal family vacation spot as the vibe and entertainment are adult -- even the pool is high-end and clubby. This is the kind of place that charges a damages deposit upfront. The 704 guest rooms are spacious and sophisticated. High rollers will want to check out the luxurious Spa Suite with a full living room and artificial grass patio. South Beach Biloxi Hotel & Suites is in the same price range, and is right on the beach.
