The Mauro Mansion has nine individually decorated, eclectic rooms on three floors. There is no elevator, and it can be tricky carrying luggage up the steep and winding stairs. Rooms are done in a color palette of black, scarlet red, and white. It's a mix of classic and contemporary decor, with exposed brick, hardwood floors, and antique wood doors mixing with Droog lamps and cube, beanbag, and hanging chairs. Amenities include flat-screen TVs, DVD players, free Wi-Fi, iPod docks, coffee/tea makers, in-room safes, mini-fridges with welcome drinks, and dawn-imitating wake-up lights. Some rooms have jetted tubs, while some are shower only. Some have views of the canal.

Available for a fee, the breakfast at Mauro Mansion is ample and often includes pancakes, pastries, eggs, cold cuts, cheeses, yogurt, fruit, coffee, and juice. It's served in a bright, cheery room with beamed ceilings and white walls.
