The small and cozy Best Western Courtesy Inn resembles a motor court-style motel, with exterior corridors and staircases and parking immediately outside ground-level rooms. The stucco exterior is brightly painted in yellow, white, and butterscotch tones. The lobby is small and narrow but pleasant, with the reception desk against a back wall. The laminate floors resemble light wood, and black-and-white art photos of Anaheim scenes decorate the beige walls. A multicolor sofa and a few small tables with turquoise-accented chairs rest against the walls, reflecting that space is at a premium here. The breakfast area begins at the far wall away from the reception desk. It gets quite crowded in the morning with the vacationing families who most frequently stay here. Fortunately, there's more dining space on the breezy covered patio with a tile-top bar and larger tables. The pool area, surrounded by leafy trees, is also a favorite place for guests to view the Disneyland fireworks displays. 

This Best Western sits just off Disneyland Drive, a 20-minute walk or one-minute drive away from the park. Adnd the free Disney tram is only a five-minute walk from the hotel, and once on the tram, it takes only five more minutes to reach the park entrance. A public transit stop is just outside the entrance of the hotel as well. A convenience store is a two-minute walk away, and a few restaurants are within five minutes on foot, but that’s about it for dining choices within a reasonable walk. Several other hotels are in the immediate area, with many of them being limited service. Access to Interstate 5 is about five minutes away, and the Downtown Disney District and Anaheim Convention Center are five to 10 minutes away by car and about 20 minutes by public transit. The Angel Stadium of Anaheim is a five- to 10-minute drive, with the Outlets at Orange about 10 minutes away. Knott’s Berry Farm is 15 minutes by car, and Sunset Beach and Newport Beach are about 25 to 30 minutes away. Approximate driving times to the John Wayne Airport and LAX are 20 and 40 minutes, respectively. 

Guest rooms at the Best Western Courtesy Inn are comfortably sized, and decorated simply and colorfully. Everything from the walls to the curtains to the bedskirts coordinate in various shades of brown and green. Beds have comfy bolster pillows, and there are generic, autumnal-themed prints on the walls. Glossy wood furniture includes headboards, small tables, bedside cabinets, and (in King rooms) desks. However, some furnishings are showing signs of wear and tear. Coffeemakers sit atop granite vanities located outside of the small bathrooms. Microwaves and mini-fridges are adjacent to the vanities. The ho-hum bathrooms have beige tile floors and white, acrylic shower/tub inserts. All rooms have flat-screen TVs, digital music players, and free Wi-Fi. Views are typically of the parking lot or pool in standard room options, which include King, Double-Double, Double-Queen, and Triple-Queen categories. Room-to-room noise can be readily heard, and ground-floor rooms can hear other guests coming and going from their cars immediately outside. While rooms are generally clean and well-kept, there are occasional reports by guests of minor housekeeping and maintenance issues. 

The amenities at this hotel reinforce its value for vacationing families. Free breakfast includes eggs, sausage, pancakes, yogurt, and self-service waffles, among other hot and cold items. The indoor breakfast area is small and gets packed at times, but there's an additional outdoor dining area under a canopy. Vending machines sell beverages and snacks. Large palm and pine trees surround the cozy pool area that includes a heated pool, whirlpool, tables with umbrellas, and several lounge chairs. Guests report that the pool area is the best place to view the Disney fireworks display. Parking is free but the lot is small and can fill up at times. A computer with Internet access and a printer is available for guest use in the lobby, and free Wi-Fi is accessible throughout the property. Guests can use a safe deposit box located at the front desk. No pets are allowed in this nonsmoking hotel.
