Hilton Anaheim is heavily influenced by the fact that it has a location outside of Disneyland and across from the Anaheim Convention Center. This translates into a modern property with 1,572 rooms, family-friendly extras, and a busy atmosphere filled with Disney-goers and business travelers. Guests often note long queues at the front desk or in restaurants, a crowded pool, and often bothersome late-night noise from other guests -- so don’t expect a completely relaxed stay. As for the hotel’s decor, it leans toward the business-friendly aspect with dark neutral tones, contemporary seating, wide open spaces, and low-lighting. Most areas are spacious with plenty of seating options for the great array of guests. A bar in the lobby tends to help keep guests entertained while checking in and out. 

Hilton Anaheim has a wonderful location that’s just a 22-minute walk to Disneyland, though most visitors take the ART bus (which stops outside of the hotel) to the park for a small fee. It’s also conveniently across the street from the Anaheim Convention Center. Anaheim Garden Walk, an indoor and outdoor shopping mall, takes 16 minutes to reach on foot. There are plenty of dining options less than a 10-minute walk away. Newport Beach takes 26 minutes to reach by car. It’s a 45-minute drive to Los Angeles International Airport. 

The hotel’s rooms and suites feature a run-of-the-mill decor in shades of beige and brown. It’s a contemporary style, but a bit dated and tired compared to other Hiltons. Only the Presidential Suites add pops of color and finer materials. All rooms are furnished with white bedding, wooden desks with ergonomic chairs, and warm brown or golden toned carpeting. Amenities include flat-screen TVs, mini-fridges, coffeemakers, safes, and Wi-Fi. Wi-Fi is only free to Hilton Honors members, and the program is free to join. Sofa beds and Murphy beds are available in the Suites. Some rooms have private balconies, direct access to a sundeck, or feature views of the fireworks displays at Disneyland resorts. Bathrooms are particularly standard with shower/tub combos and hairdryers, though Peter Thomas Roth toiletries are a nice perk. Guests note that there’s often bothersome noise, especially in rooms near elevators, facing the pool, or on lower floors. There have been complaints of maintenance issues.

As a large property, there’s a lot to explore here, but features often come with a price. The highlight of the hotel is an outdoor swimming pool with children’s waterslides. The hotel’s indoor pool is a part of the spa, which also includes a sauna, hot tub, and steam rooms. The spa costs a fee and offers salon services, beauty treatments, and massages. The hotel’s gym has diverse cardio and weight equipment, a basketball court, and aerobics classes, and like the spa, also costs a fee to use. Breakfast is a large spread with hot and cold items and can be included in the room rate, but if not, it’s generally pretty pricey. Other food options include a food court with four fast food restaurants, a Starbucks, pool bar and grill, a lobby bar, and a restaurant with cuisine with organic ingredients. Business travelers can take advantage of 140,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor meeting space. Other amenities include a gift shop, free Wi-Fi for Hilton Honors members, and self and valet parking for a fee.
