Pineapple Beach Club Antigua - All Inclusive
Long Bay, St. Phillip's

This upscale all-inclusive on beautiful Long Bay Beach, in the northeast corner of Antigua, offers 180 relaxed rooms in a collection of plantation-style buildings. All rooms offer air-conditioning, flat-screen TVs, mini-fridges, coffeemakers, and outdoor space, and some rooms feature stunning sea views. The property has a great white-sand beach with non-motorized water sports, as well as two outdoor pools, a spa, a gym, and tennis courts. There are eight restaurants and bars, ranging from beachside snacks, to Italian fare, to a funky, rustic hilltop barbecue joint. Reservations are required at two of the restaurants. The vibe is distinctly laid-back, and there are touches of local charm through the property. Travelers who want a more luxurious adult-only, all-inclusive resort with similar amenities might consider Galley Bay Resort & Spa -- but rates are higher.

Galley Bay Resort & Spa
Gray's Farm Main Road

The 98-room, upscale Galley Bay Resort & Spa is a charming adults-only all-inclusive boutique situated along a peaceful beach in Antigua. Simple Caribbean style pervades throughout, including in the beachy rooms and suites featuring air-conditioning, flat-screen TVs, free minibars, coffeemakers, and patios with sea views. Stone cottages set in the gardens add private plunge pools. The white-sand beach is both the resort’s biggest draw and the location of its four restaurant/bars, as well as non-motorized water sports, regular events, and weekly activities. The waters, though, can be too rough for swimming at times. Other high-end amenities include a freeform pool, serene spa, fitness center, and a rustic rum shack. Note that room service is not available, Wi-Fi can be spotty, and Ismay’s restaurant requires an extra charge. It’s worth comparing rates with the Cocobay Resort, another adults-only all-inclusive hotel with a stunning clifftop setting and three beaches to choose from.

The Verandah Resort & Spa - All Inclusive
Long Bay

The Verandah Resort & Spa is an upper-middle-range all-inclusive resort set on 30 acres of beautiful tropical land on Antigua’s northeastern coast. One of the most family-centric resorts on the island, the property offers plenty of activities for kids, including a kids’ club and a mini-golf course, but it also has designated adult-only areas. Warm, casual suites feature living areas with sleeper sofas, kitchenettes, and balconies. Two-bedroom villas, some with private plunge pools, are ideal for groups. Amenities include three restaurants, three bars, and three pools, plus two white-sand beaches, a gym, tennis courts, and a small spa. While the resort is laid-back and inviting, it lacks a distinct personality. For guests who want a more adult-centric place to take the kids, all-inclusive St. James’s Club and Villas offers a touch more luxury and tranquility.

Sandals Grande Antigua Resort & Spa
Dickenson Bay

Sandals Grande Antigua Resort & Spa is the epitome of an upscale couples-only, all-inclusive, Caribbean mega-resort. It offers 373 rooms scattered through 27 acres of tropical grounds on stunning Dickenson Bay Beach. Between 25 different room categories, 11 restaurants, and seven bars, guests certainly have lots of options, but they can feel overwhelming. All rooms and suites feature four-poster beds, private terraces, free Wi-Fi, and marble bathrooms. All-inclusive rates cover all restaurants and bars, including house wines and premium spirits. Posh amenities include six pools, a fitness center, and a tranquil spa (treatments are extra). As a couples-only resort, there are plenty of opportunities for romance -- they'll just be shared with a few hundred other couples. Guests looking for a singles- and family-friendly large resort experience with lots of amenities might consider St. James’s Club & Villas.

Siboney Beach Club
Dickenson Bay

The Siboney Beach Club is a three-pearl property with a dreamy garden and direct access to a stretch of white sand on Dickenson Bay. This unpretentious hotel, complete with a feng-shui inspired garden, offers an intimate vibe at reasonable prices. The 12 one-bedroom suites are simple and charming, with bright accents, kitchenettes, flat-screen TVs, and balconies or patios. As with most properties on Antigua, mosquitos can be an issue. Features include a small outdoor pool, spa treatments in a Zen garden, and a simple (if somewhat overpriced) beachside restaurant and bar. Travelers can also check out the apartments at next door Antigua Village, but rates there will be higher, though it has a fancier restaurant.

St. James's Club & Villas
Mamora Bay

St. James’s Club & Villas is an upscale all-inclusive resort on 45 acres of land overlooking the Caribbean Sea and tranquil Mamora Bay. Though it’s an established name on the island, the 280 rooms are modern and feature tropical decor, flat-screen TVs, mini-fridges, coffeemakers, and furnished balconies. Multiple-bedroom villas upgrade to kitchens and living areas. The six outdoor pools are divided between family-friendly and adult-only sections of the resort. There are six restaurants (one is outside the all-inclusive plan), five bars, two white-sand beaches, a lovely spa, a modern gym, and four tennis courts. Water sports and kids’ activities are included, as is Wi-Fi in designated public areas (it costs extra in rooms). For an all-suite property with similar amenities and a stronger family-centric vibe, guests might consider The Verandah Resort & Spa - All Inclusive.
