9. NH Collection Grand Hotel Convento di Amalfi

Located a five-minute walk from Amalfi, NH Collection Grand Hotel Convento di Amalfi is housed in a beautifully restored medieval monastery. Luxurious and romantic, the Grand Hotel Convento has a spectacular cliffside setting and a 1,000-foot-long terrace that houses a small infinity pool and adjacent cafe/bar. Unlike many of the area’s hotels, the rooms here are swish and modern, all with sea views, free Wi-Fi, and flat-screen TVs, plus terraces in some. 10. Monastero Santa Rosa Hotel & Spa, Conca dei Marini

Located in the hills above Conca dei Marini, one of the many fishing villages of the Amalfi Coast, the 20-room Monastero Santa Rosa Hotel & Spa is a luxury property with a romantic atmosphere that makes it popular with vacationing couples. Acting as a monastery from 1681 to 1912, the structure was converted into a hotel in 1924. Today, the classically elegant hotel has terraces of landscaped gardens with lounge space, an infinity pool, and a striking spa with original old stone walls and archways. 11. Casa Angelina, Praiano

The adults-only Casa Angelina is set on the Praiano cliffs, providing spectacular views of Positano and Capri.
