While the capital city’s art, history, and culture make it a great pick year-round, we have a particular affinity for Bavaria during the golden months of fall. If you’re after views, the lakeside town of Fussen piles on the gorgeous fall landscapes, especially at the stunning Neuschwanstein Castle and its surrounding countryside.
