It’s without a doubt that one of the ‘must-dos’ in Walt Disney World is to find a perfect spot to watch Epcot’s Illumination Show or the Magic Kingdom’s Wishes Show. But the perfect spot doesn’t have to be inside one of these parks. If you stay at any of the Disney Resorts, there are several spots you can enjoy these fireworks without having to pay admission.

Disney’s Boardwalk – Given its close proximity to the Epcot theme park, Disney’s Boardwalk is a perfect place to watch the Illumination show. You can stroll along the boardwalk and check out various shops around the lake. The best location is the bridge that connect the walkways between the Disney Boardwalk Villas and the Yacht and Beach Club resorts.

The California Grill at the Contemporary – You can enjoy a fabulous meal at the California Grill before or after the Wishes Firework show. Plus, the restaurant will pipe in the music to go along with the show. Just note that there’s no food service during the show itself.

The beach at the Polynesian Resort has built in speakers for you to enjoy the show

The Beach in front of the Polynesian resort – Bring your blanket and enjoy the show by the beach. Music from the park pipes through speakers hidden in the bushes along the beach, to go along with the show.

The Narcoossee at the Grand Floridian resort – Another restaurant option for viewing the Wishes fireworks outside the park is The Narcoossee restaurant, located inside the Grand Floridian resort. Make your reservation for nightfall to enjoy the spectacular view.
