Niagara Falls Hotels With the Best Views

See recent posts by Christina Vercelletto

Niagara Falls has been a classic vacation destination for decades, both for romantic getaways and family trips. The area and its offerings on both sides of the American-Canadian border have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant: the iconic views of the falls. That said, choosing a hotel overlooking Niagara Falls seems like a no-brainer. To help, we’ve compiled a list of properties with beautiful views on both sides of the Niagara River. But first, the basics: If you’re staying on the American side, expect the view from the hotel to reveal rushing rapids leading to the falls, or the Canadian skyline. This is due to its geographic location. On the other hand, the Canadian side is home to hotels that are closer to Horseshoe Falls, American Falls, and Bridal Veil Falls. With that in mind, all of the below properties offer memorable sights -- albeit from different perspectives.

If you’re not interested in getting a dose of kitsch with your views, you may want to check out this small, hip hotel on the Canadian side. Not only does the boutique property boast modern architecture, but the views here are arguably the best on either side of the falls, thanks to floor-to-ceiling windows. Aside from stellar views, the rooms (located on either the 26th, 27th, or 28th floor) also feature kitchenettes. Those looking to tie the knot will be happy to find an on-site wedding chapel as well.

Some of the more spectacular views of the Niagara Falls region can be had from the Splendore Suite on the 16th floor, the Empire Suite on the 15th floor, as well as corner rooms on upper floors. Just make sure to request an upper floor with a view of the rapids and river when booking.
