This is the World’s Most Luxurious Hotel

The Burj Al Arab in Dubai bills itself as the world's most luxurious hotel, and it's hard to disagree. Not when every room is a two-story suite equipped with a 24-karat gold iPad. There are few properties on the planet that can compete with Burj Al Arab in terms of features, luxury services, and sheer scale. Guests can expect everything from an on-site beach on the hotel's private island, to butlers for each of the 60 floors, to seven different restaurants. Still, the property isn't perfect -- the over-the-top, opulent room decor betrays its '90s-era roots, and there can be service hiccoughs -- but for most, it's a once-in-a-lifetime experience. And it costs like one.
