For Bachelor and Bachelorette Parties

The Pool at the SLS Las Vegas

The Pool at the SLS Las Vegas

Bachelor and bachelorette parties in Las Vegas are all about people on the prowl for a memorable pre-wedding party (“The Hangover” set a pretty high bar). And nothing ruins that sexy singles vibe faster than a hotel filled with families and older tourists. Which is why we like the SLS Las Vegas for bachelor and bachelorette parties. The uber-hip property by French designer Philippe Starck includes three nightclubs, a 10,000-square-foot LUX Pool, and several restaurants ranging from Umami Burger to a fine-dining restaurant by James Beard award-winning chef José Andrés. The small casino doesn’t take over the entire hotel, and most guests are more interested in the pools and parties than the slot machines.

For Family Getaways

Circus Acts at the Circus Circus Hotel & Casino Las Vegas

Circus Acts at the Circus Circus Hotel & Casino Las Vegas

The biggest selling point at Circus Circus Hotel & Casino (apart from super low rates) is the abundance of family-friendly activities. The five-acre Adventuredome amusement park has a huge variety of rides, bumper cars, bungee jumping, 4D theaters, and rock climbing. Free circus performances are held every 30 minutes. Kid-friendly fare is on offer at a pizzeria, all-you-can-eat buffet, and a burger restaurant. Three outdoor pools let little ones beat the Vegas heat. This hotel is huge and chaotic, and perfect for family vacations that don’t break the bank.

For Trysts

Artisan Lounge at the Artisan Hotel

Artisan Lounge at the Artisan Hotel

You know what they say — what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas. And if you want that to remain true for a tryst, check into the Artisan Hotel. The small, adult-only boutique has an erotic theme. Mirrors line the walls and ceilings throughout the hotel. There’s an eclectic mix of erotic art and reproductions of classics by Van Gogh and Rembrandt decorating the common areas and guest rooms. The hotel is aimed towards the sexually adventurous (or at least, the sexually curious). Some room packages provide copies of the Kama Sutra and Intimacy Love Kits. Porn stars regularly perform karaoke for guests, daily drink specials are available 24/7, and the pool is topless. It’s a bit far from the Strip, but guests staying here appreciate the additional privacy.

For Gambling

Casino at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas

Casino at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas

Trying to choose the best casino in Las Vegas can be a tough endeavor. Every casino is special in its own way, though each is highly regulated by the Nevada Gaming Control Board for fairness. We recommend throwing dice and pulling slot levers at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas. At 100,000 square feet, it’s not the biggest casino in Vegas (that award goes to the Venetian‘s 243,684-square-foot casino), but it does have floor-to-ceiling glass walls that overlook the Strip, a youthful vibe, free booze for players, and the opportunity to play blackjack in the pool. The hotel is within walking distance of Planet Hollywood Hotel and Casino, the Aria Resort & Casino, and the Bellagio, so it’s easy to explore other casinos if your luck runs out at The Cosmopolitan.

For a Honeymoon

The Dynasty Suite at the Mandarin Oriental, Las Vegas

The Dynasty Suite at the Mandarin Oriental, Las Vegas

Many people think of Las Vegas as a place to get married, (drive-thru ceremony officiated by an Elvis Presley impersonator, anyone?), but we love the city for a honeymoon, too. The Mandarin Oriental Las Vegas is ideal for couples who want to relax in quiet luxury. In fact, the hotel doesn’t even have a casino. There are just 392 rooms, which allows staff to be ultra accommodating and keeps crowds and lines at bay. Honeymooners can hide out in the spa with steam rooms, then pair a Lychee Smash with floor-to-ceiling Strip views at the Mandarin Bar. Room service is available 24/7 and one of the two fine-dining options is a three-star Michelin restaurant. There’s even a pink Moët & Chandon Champagne vending machine with mini bottles of fizz, which makes for a memorable way to toast to your marriage.

For Budget Vacations

The Pool at the Tuscany Suites & Casino

The Pool at the Tuscany Suites & Casino

If you’re planning on spending most of your time (and money) at the pool, casino, shows, and shops, then you likely don’t need to shell out for a pricey hotel room. Tuscany Suites & Casino is located about a 10-minute walk from the Strip and has some of the lowest rates in town. Free parking and a free gym add value to the stay, and there’s an outdoor pool and whirlpool, along with four restaurants and a small casino. At 625 square feet, the rooms are some of the largest around, and all come with a mini-fridge, coffeemaker, and dining table. It’s not a super glamorous stay, but with the money you’re saving, you can afford to splurge on the things in Vegas that matter to you most.

For Luxury Trips

Master Bedroom at The Two-Bedroom Loft at the SKYLOFTS at MGM Grand

Master Bedroom at The Two-Bedroom Loft at the SKYLOFTS at MGM Grand

If you’re looking for true luxury, Las Vegas is the place to find it. And while the city has plenty of gorgeous suites, the SKYLOFTS at MGM Grand offer two-story duplex lofts that blow most of its competitors out of the water. The lofts start at 1,400 square feet and include floor-to-ceiling windows and gorgeous bathrooms with steam shower features. The high roller treatment starts at the airport: all guests are picked up in a Rolls-Royce Ghost limousine before boarding a private elevator to a private lobby for a civilized check-in process. Butlers are available 24 hours and learn guests’ names and preferences for personalized service. Hot appetizers and cocktails are served in the lobby in the evenings. The whole concept feels like staying in an exclusive residence — a vibe that can’t be replicated elsewhere in Las Vegas.

For Pool Parties

The Rehab at Paradise Beach at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino

The Rehab at Paradise Beach at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino

Las Vegas is known for its epic pool parties. Famous DJs, A-list celebrities, free-flowing booze, and scantily clad revelers make for an over-the-top pool scene. The Rehab pool party, which is held every Sunday at Hard Rock Hotel and Casino, is arguably the city’s best. Rehab takes place in the two grotto pools behind the Casino Tower, and both locals and hotel guests line up early to day drink and see celebrity hosts. General admission tickets are pretty affordable, but the party gets packed, and it’s pricey to pay for bottle service and a table. Daybeds can cost as much as $1,000 in the summer. Plus, keep in mind that the pools are closed in the winter.

For Fremont Strip Action

The Tank Pool at the Golden Nugget Hotel & Casino

The Tank Pool at the Golden Nugget Hotel & Casino

Fremont Street is where Vegas started its hotel/casino scene in the early 1900s. Today, the area is a 90-foot canopy-covered pedestrian thoroughfare known for late-night light and sound shows, plus zip lining and drink specials sold in light-up neon cups. The Golden Nugget Hotel & Casino is in the center of all the madness and offers a little old-timey kitsch. Modern entertainment includes a 45,000-square-foot casino, a waterslide through a shark tank, several restaurants, and a small spa. Rooms in the Rush Tower are the quietest and least smoky, plus they come with soaking tubs and Keurig coffeemakers. Table minimums and slot machines are much cheaper here than on the Strip.
