Turks & Caicos Switches the Sunset

Beach at the Point Grace

Employment Minister Ricardo Donhue Gardiner announced today that Turks & Caicos will adopt Atlantic Standard Time in order to push the country's famous beach sunsets an hour later. For anyone lucky enough to be on the islands this Sunday, you'll score an extra hour of daylight -- but lose 60 minutes of sleep. So be sure to schedule that candlelit dinner for two on the beach accordingly.
