We've been busy visiting hotels all over the world so we can bring our users in-depth reviews and expert photos of every property they can possibly dream of. Today, we have over 15,000 hotels on the site -- and 152 of them can be found in beautiful Sicily! During our recent trip to the lovely island, we saw some stunning hotels, and some that were not-so-stunning. But we were the most stunned by properties that looked one way on their websites when we were doing our research before the trip, and a totally different way once we arrived. We call these "photo fakeouts," when hotel marketing imagery paints a totally different picture than the reality. They were few and far between, but we did find a couple Sicilian properties that were guilty of some photoshop magic.
