Part of a trio of luxury hotels comprising the immense Baha Mar resort, the Rosewood Baha Mar is the most luxurious (and expensive) option of the three. British Colonial architecture combines beach cottage interiors and Bahamian touches, plus the 237 spacious rooms are decked out with conveniences like 55-inch flat-screen TVs, Nespresso machines, and butler service. Two restaurants serve tasty fare and one of the most inviting spaces is The Library, a stylish guest favorite that offers Champagnes, afternoon tea, and caviar. Guests have access to all features across the Baha Mar resort, including an array of restaurants, a golf course, casino, kids' club, and expansive spa and fitness facilities, plus the Rosewood has its own private spa, pools, and gym. Families with kids might prefer the Grand Hyatt Baha Mar, and its expansive pool complexes.
Scene
The most luxurious hotel in the trio of Baha Mar properties
Part of the massive Baha Mar Resort that opened in November 2017, the 237-room Rosewood provides the most luxurious experience out of the three hotels that comprise it. It's certainly an intimate experience compared to the 1,800-room Grand Hyatt Baha Mar. It's the priciest option of the three, and the most exclusive. Though guests here have access to all features across the Baha Mar complex, the other two hotels do not have access to the Rosewood's dining venues, pools, and spa. Well-heeled couples and honeymooners are the main clientele, while families with kids tend to opt for the Grand Hyatt instead. The beautiful beachfront grounds that the hotel sits on are rife with tall palms, lush greenery, and immaculate landscaping. Two beautiful outdoor pools are skirted in palm trees and chic loungers and cabanas, plus there's direct access to a powdery stretch of Cable Beach. Inside, spaces are distinguished by a modern elegance with a Bahamian flair, the chic common areas are doused mainly in neutral hues, gleaming white marble, and potted plants peppered about. The Library, for example, oozes style, with a medley of chic sofas and armchairs, book-lined walls, wooden herringbone floors, lovely art, and bouquets of flowers making for a sunlit space that invites lingering. The gray-hued lobby has lovely murals of palm trees lining its walls as well as real potted palms grazing the ceiling, while rich dark-wood furniture provides a contrast to the neutral shades.
Location
Right on Cable Beach and about a 20-minute drive to Downtown Nassau
The hotel is situated on Nassau’s Northern Shore, occupying a prime location right on Cable Beach, a scenic slice of white sandy shore with crystal clear turquoise water. There are several other properties in the surrounding area, and guests have access to all features across the Baha Mar complex which include a casino, several bars, restaurants, pools, shops, and a kids's club. Off-site, there are some dining options like a Starbucks within a five-minute drive. Downtown Nassau is about a 20-minute drive away, for attractions like the Straw Market and the National Art Museum. Paradise Island is about a 25-minute drive away. Salt Cay is around a half-hour drive. The Lynden Pindling International Airpot is an 11-minute drive from the hotel.
Rooms
Impeccably designed rooms and suites have private balconies and butler service
Rooms, suites, and villas are impeccably designed down to every last detail with a subtle beachy theme. Neutral hues dominate, with wooden floors and white wood paneled walls serving as the backdrop to stylish contemporary furnishings. Sleek beds (four-poster beds in some rooms) are topped with plush white bedding, tasteful art dots the walls, and all rooms have comfortable and chic seating areas. Glass doors open onto private balconies that overlook either the lush resort grounds or the tranquil beach.Standard amenities include 55-inch flat-screen TVs, gourmet minibars, Nespresso coffee machines (plus great selection of teas), electronic safes, and free Wi-Fi. All rooms come with butler service, as well as perks like free bottled water and welcome treats such as rum cakes. Suites have kitchenettes with two-burner stoves, mini-fridges, and microwaves. Luxurious white marble bathrooms feature dual sink vanities, walk-in rainfall showers, and separate soaking tubs.Rooms are spacious; entry-level rooms start at 485 square feet (45 square meters). The Three-Bedroom Villa measures 3,100 square feet (288 square meters) and has a private deck with a plunge pool, a grill area, and a fire pit as well as a separate living room, dining area, and kitchen. The largest option is the Six-Bedroom Villa, measuring 6,200 square feet (576 square meters), which has a private infinity plunge pool, an outdoor grill and dining area, and separate living and dining rooms as well as a kitchen.
Features
Two beautiful outdoor pools, two restaurants, private spa and fitness facilities, plus access to all of Baha Mar's features
Features are as beautifully designed and convenient as the rooms. The gorgeous grounds include two attractive outdoor pools: the Quiet Pool and Lagoon Pool. Chic loungers and luxurious cabanas line both pool decks. Staff delivers cold bottled water, sunscreen, and aloe vera spray to guest loungers, a luxurious touch, plus bar and food service is available. These pools are solely for Rosewood guest use.Dining options include Commonwealth, which serves traditional and modern international fare from six different regions. Breakfast is served buffet-style and dinner is a la carte. Costa offers Mexican fare with an emphasis on seafood for lunch and dinner by the pool. There's also the atmospheric Manor Bar, it's open late for bar snacks and bespoke cocktails with an excellent cocktail menu, as well as bar snacks.
