The hotel has a gorgeous swimming pool and whirlpool pool surrounded by tropical greenery, a restaurant, a bar, and meeting rooms. Scene
Elegant boutique hotel with a nice pool and services for business travelers
From the road, the Amaroosa looks more like a generic -- but elegant -- business hotel, with modern exteriors flanked by big palm trees. Inside, the lobby is equally modern but more stylish, with low, soft seating and big, picture windows, although the low ceilings in some areas can make the spaces look dark and gloomy, but the restaurant and rooftop bar make for lovely gathering places. The hotel is close enough to area attractions to make it a popular spot for vacationing couples and families seeking something quiet and low-key, and who don't mind a 15-minute drive to the beach. Two-bedroom Family Suites are available, but be aware that the Amaroossa has no special activities for kids, and might not be the best choice for those traveling with very young children.
Location
In a residential area between Jimbaran and Nusa Dua
Amaroossa Suite Bali is located near the Nusa Dua toll exit between Jimbaran and Nusa Dua, in a primarily residential area void of other hotels or restaurants. It's a 20-minute drive to the town of Kuta, and getting to Garuda Wisnu Kencana Cultural Park takes about the same amount of time. The Uluwatu Temple is about a 40-minute drive away, and Ubud can be reached in about an hour. Ngurah Rai International Airport in Denpasar is about a 15-minute drive from the hotel.
Rooms
Elegant rooms with spacious bathrooms; some have private pools or kitchens
The Amaroosa offers 60 rooms in four configurations, ranging from Executive Suites with the choice of Twin or Double beds to Family Suites with two bedrooms. Room decor, consistent throughout, is a mix of modern square and rectangular fixtures that give the spaces a sleek look highlighted by BoHo lanterns, art pieces, and bed throws in mottled hues of purple and periwinkle. Rose-gold throw pillows, picture frames, and lampshades add an eye-catching and brightening element to the mix. Pool Suites have small private plunge pools on enclosed decks. Some of the Royal Suites have kitchens with flat-top stoves and microwaves, while the Family Suites have two separate bedrooms, one with two twin beds. All units have flat-screen TVs, safes, writing desks, minibars, coffeemakers, and large, contemporary bathrooms with rainfall showers, separate tubs, and dual sinks.
Features
Beautiful swimming pool, restaurant, rooftop bar with views, meeting rooms, and free Wi-Fi
There's no spa or fitness center, but there is a pleasant swimming pool at the center of the property, with a beautiful blue-tile floor that adds a cobalt hue to the water. There are a few lounge chairs poolside, and the area is surrounded by lots of lush local flora and fauna. There's also a big whirlpool tub built into one side.
Amaroosa's restaurant -- The Roses -- serves Indonesian and Western cuisine in a bright, air-conditioned space with floor-to-ceiling windows and patio seating, and 24-hour room service is available. The rooftop Chandu Bar, with clusters of seating under wide, white umbrellas, looks out on a surrounding mangrove, and while the focus is more on drinks here, it offers a menu of light fare. The hotel also has two meeting rooms, the larger of which can accommodate up to 100 people theater style. Wi-Fi is free throughout the hotel.
