Scene
Cliff-top luxury resort on 222 tropical acres, with multiple swimming pools
AYANA Resort sits a spectacular cliff-top setting overlooking the Indian Ocean, secluded from the everyday goings on in Jimbaran, Kuta, and other bustling Bali towns. As such, it's a fine incarnation of the typical image most travelers to Bali have -- peaceful, tropical, exotic, and exclusive. The resort shares a 222-acre (90 hectares) property with its sister resorts RIMBA Jimbaran Bali and Villas at AYANA Resort. The superbly landscaped grounds are lush with trees, gardens, flowers, and wild grasses. Rooms and public spaces are housed in a series of traditional Balinese-style buildings, with well-designed and decorated interiors that make good use of wood and stone, and feature generous displays of local art and artifacts. A private white-sand beach is stunningly picturesque, but it's a bit rocky and the water is a little rough for good swimming. Several outdoor swimming pools are on-site, the highlight of which is a 25-meter infinity pool overlooking the ocean. The resort draws mostly Asian couples and families to its secluded location, superb facilities, and luxury Balinese-style rooms.

New Kuta Green Park, with its water park, bungee jumping, and paintball, is a 20-minute drive away, while the surf-hub of Dreamland Beach is a 25-minute drive away.
