Despite its chain name, this three-and-a-half-pearl property offers modern Balinese decor and affordable rates in Kuta. The hotel boasts an impressive entrance with stone wall reliefs featuring Balinese motifs, as well as mahogany furniture, tons of wood, and earth- or neutral-tone colors. Beautiful stone walkways flanked by fruit-bearing trees and plants link the reception area to the rooms and suites. Certainly a drawcard of this property is its outdoor terrace, featuring a pool with a swim-up bar. Also on-site is an all-day restaurant in an open-air setting with wooden tables, terra-cotta tile floors, and views of the pool. There's also a small spa, though most travelers are out exploring Bali during the day or overnight guests coming and going from the airport. The property mostly draws families and couples, and is decent value for a hotel of this caliber within a short drive of tourist sites. 

Best Western Kuta Villa is located just off Sunset Road, a busy thoroughfare that connects Kuta and Seminyak. The hotel is not within walking distance of most tourist spots, though determined walkers can reach Kuta Beach in 20 to 25 minutes. Several restaurants and bars are within an easy walk. It pays to exercise caution, though, as the streets here have not been designed with pedestrians in mind and the traffic can be pretty hectic. The Ngurah Rai International Airport is a 10-minute drive away, while Kuta’s vibrant nightlife, and Seminyak’s cosmopolitan restaurants and cafes are around a 10- and 15-minute drive, respectively. Best Western Kuta Villa offers free parking, and a free shuttle service to a number of locations in the area, including the airport, Kuta Beach, and Discovery Shopping Mall.

The Best Western Kuta Villa has 122 modern rooms with pleasant Balinese touches. They feature dark-wood furnishings, oversized headboards, and mostly neutral tones aside from the bed runners and matching throw pillows with local-inspired, vibrant patterns. Some of the villas also feature private terraces with striking stone wall reliefs and plunge pools. Standard amenities include flat-screen TVs with 60 cable channels, work desk areas, coffee- and tea-making facilities, minibars, safes, and free Wi-Fi. Bathrooms either have showers, bathtubs, or both -- some of which are outdoors -- and all come with hairdryers and free toiletries. Past guests have complained that there are maintenance and cleanliness issues, particularly with the air conditioners. 

The highlight of Best Western Kuta Villa is its outdoor swimming pool with gleaming tile in multiple shades of blue. Its surrounded by plenty of sun loungers, tables, and umbrellas, and it also has a swim-up bar. Adjacent to the pool is the all-day restaurant, which serves both Western and Asian dishes. Breakfast, which can be included in the booking, does not offer a huge selection of Western or vegetarian dishes, however. While there is no gym, the hotel offers a small spa for massages and a currency conversion service at the reception desk. Business travelers can make use of the hotel’s fully equipped meeting and function room, which can accommodate up to 100 people. Wi-Fi is available for free throughout. The hotel offers free shuttle service to Kuta Beach, Discovery Shopping Mall, and the airport.
