Black bars and detailed silver metalwork covered in vines adorn the modern, cube-like structure, which feels like a laid-back oasis in a rowdy area of Kuta. The spacious lobby has a chic, artsy style, with musicians' photos on the walls and vibrant colors reflected in the furniture and and deep-yellow accent walls. Nebula, a cafe frequented by guests and locals, has an urban vibe, with eclectic wall art and punches of different colors, while the Depalm Rooftop & Lounge offers Kuta views plus an outdoor faux-grass area with bean-bag style furniture and couches. Clientele is mostly couples and families from Australia, Bali, and other parts of Asia.  

The Dekuta Hotel is located in dense Poppies Lane, an alley in Kuta’s city center that's filled with pedestrians, shops, restaurants, and bars that's popular with backpackers and nighttime revelers. Kuta Beach is at the end of the street, a two-minute walk from the hotel, and the Beachwalk Shopping Center, along with restaurants and surf shops, are four minutes away on foot. Kuta Square is within a 15-minute walk of the hotel, while Jalan Legian, Waterbom Park, and Discovery Shopping Mall are about 20 minutes away on foot (five minutes by car, depending on traffic). Legian Beach is within a 10-minute drive, while Seminyak Square and Ngurah Rai International Airport are about 20 minutes away by car.

Dekuta's 49 rooms are modern and large, with light-wood furniture and laminate floors. There are green ottomans and leather Barcelona chairs giving the rooms a sleek, slightly vintage flair. There's little in the way of wall art and white duvet-covered beds sit under large statement headboards with a light oak finish. All rooms include air-conditioning and 32-inch flat-screen TVs plus mini-fridges, coffeemakers, and free bottled water. Some rooms have furnished balconies with pool views. The tan-tile bathrooms have squares of gray arranged in a playful pattern, with either shower/tub combos or walk-in rainfall showers. Guests have reported some issues with the strength of the air-conditioning and unpleasant smells in the bathrooms.

The lovely outdoor blue-tile infinity pool has a stone waterfall, and sits amid greenery with blue-padded lounge chairs. The popular on-site cafe, Nebula, serves Western and Asian fusion dishes, while cocktails and tapas are available at Depalm Rooftop & Lounge, which has live music on certain days. Breakfast is not included in standard room rates. Destore, a modern clothing and jewelry store, is also on-site, along with a business center with Apple computers, and concierge services. Wi-Fi is free throughout, but guests complain of a sluggish signal. Airport transfers are available for a fee and the hotel can help arrange tours and transport throughout the region.
