The Green Garden Hotel is a simple, budget property with clean and pleasant interiors decorated in a modern Balinese style. Situated on a fairly busy street, the entrance of the hotel is skirted in greenery, with tropical plants lining the sidewalk and ivy covering the side walls. The open-air lobby overlooks the street and is home to a bar furnished with a collection of wooden chairs and tables filling the expanse of this marble-floored space. Decor is spare and simple, and the space opens out onto the pool area at the back of the property, which features more verdant, vine-covered walls with a waterfall feature spouting into the pool, as well as green lawns, tropical plants, and palm trees. Several lounge chairs provide seating, plus there are tables and chairs. Overall, this is a simple, basic property that attracts budget travelers and families drawn by the Family Room options. Travelers with mobility issues should note that the property does not have an elevator, however.

The hotel is situated on a fairly busy road and surrounded by several restaurants, cafes, and shops. It is a short walk away from the beach. The Discovery shopping mall is about a five-minute walk from the property, while Beachwalk mall, another popular shopping destination, can be reached in about seven minutes by car. Seminyak, with its beaches and Seminyak Square, can be reached in 20 to 25 minutes by car, while Legian Beach is a ten-minute drive. The Ngurah Rai International Airport is a short drive away and can be reached in about six minutes.

Rooms are clean and simply furnished with pleasant decor in soft creamy shades paired with teak furniture. Wooden beds topped with crisp white linens sit against accent walls covered with cream-colored, floral-patterned wallpaper. All rooms have air-conditioning, small flat-screen TVs with cable channels, mini-fridges, tea- and coffee-making facilities, free bottled mineral water, electronic safes, and lovely private balconies or terraces, most of which overlook the pool. Bathrooms are also clean and pleasant, covered in cream or beige-colored tiles and outfitted with shower/tub combos.

Besides Standard Rooms, larger Family Rooms and Kid Suites are available as well, which sleep up to four and five people respectively. Kid Suites are the largest and have children’s areas with bunk beds that are separated from the main bedrooms by curtains, giving parents a bit of privacy. Sony Play Station’s are available for an added charge. Guests should note that some rooms might get noise from the pool area.

Green Garden Restaurant serves traditional home-style meals offering Indonesian, Chinese, and Western dishes in a relaxed setting, plus there’s also a bar with patio seating overlooking the street. Buffet breakfast is included in the room rates and room service is also available. The hotel has an outdoor pool with a waterfall feature and a kids’ pool in a pretty courtyard filled with greenery. A handful of lounge chairs are available on grassy lawns.
