Scene
Simple, modern hotel with minimalist interiors and lovely inner courtyard with a pool
The Hotel Terrace at Kuta is a modern property that’s fairly no-frills in terms of amenities and features, yet is a pleasant, clean, and conveniently located option that attracts travelers looking for a good value deal. Guests are greeted in a simple lobby with a sleek white front desk featuring a brown and black decorative facade that sits by a bank of elevators. There’s not much in the form of decor; the space is sleek and minimalist, with cream-colored tiled floors and beige wallpapered accent walls. The open-plan layout of the lobby also includes the adjoining restaurant, a large space that opens onto the outdoor pool area and is simply furnished with black-and-white tables and chairs. Green lamps suspended from the ceiling add a pop of color, as do yellow and maroon accent pillows lining the banquette seating against the walls. The lovely azure pool right outside is surrounded by a wooden sundeck lined with loungers and small tropical trees, while the three sides of the hotel building surround it in a U-shape. Guest room balconies overlook this inner courtyard, while outdoor hallways are shrouded in hanging vines that dangle like green curtains.

Rooms
Small, modern rooms with simple decor and private balconies or terraces
Rooms at the hotel are a bit small, but feature minimalist, contemporary decor with soft neutral hues like cream or beige walls paired with simple wooden furnishings. Small wooden headboards with tiny built-in nightstands frame beds topped with crisp white linens and turquoise bed runners that provide a vibrant accent to all of the neutral hues. Lovely, intricately carved wooden decorative pieces hang above beds, while wooden work desks hold electric kettles as well as free bottled water. All rooms also have flat-screen TVs, mini-fridges, electronic safes, and telephones, as well as private balconies or terraces, some of which open directly out onto the pool area.
Bathrooms are small, but modern, covered in large beige tiles and outfitted with walk-in showers, though toiletries are limited to wall-mounted soap and shampoo. Frosted glass walls separate the showers from the bedrooms, which might pose privacy issues for some guests. Premiere Rooms offer a bit more space than Deluxe Rooms (which are quite small) as well as comfortable red armchairs, though they don’t overlook the pool and views are lackluster.
