Ossotel

Unlike many hotels in Bali, Ossotel has an urban, loft-inspired design. The sleek, modern lobby has a wood feature wall set against striped floors, a large wooden front desk, and a zebra-print rug. Huge glass windows allow for plenty of natural light, while a navy couch offers extra seating. Open-air hallways --decorated with stones and plants -- make the hotel feel even more relaxed. The lobby is small, though, and there aren’t many common areas with seating for guests. Romeos Bar & Grillery, the on-site restaurant and bar, extends the urban aesthetic with an industrial design theme of exposed brick and concrete floors, alongside wooden tables and chairs, and pendant lights. As in the lobby, tall windows allow for plenty of natural light, and there are flat-screen TVs and a large bar area. Outdoors, the pool winds its way around the grounds, a long, narrow river flanked by greenery and sunbeds.

The Ossotel is located in the center of the Padma Legian Beach neighborhood, with restaurants, shops, Legian Beach, and Double Six Beach all within fast walking distance. Less than a 10-minute drive from the hotel are Seminyak Beach and Kuta Beach, as well as the Bali Blast Monument, Waterbom Park, and the Discovery Shopping Mall. Ngurah Rai International Airport is about a 25-minute drive from the hotel. 

The Ossotel's sleek, modern rooms are decorated in calming neutral hues, with brown walls, black-and-white photographs, and white tile floors. Floor-to-ceiling windows provide plenty of natural light and light fixtures are stylized and geometric. Reading lights are attached to the wooden headboards while minibars and coffeemakers are stowed on the light-wood furniture. Flat-screen TVs are attached to the walls with DVD players below, and closets are equipped with bathrobes and slippers. Air-conditioning and free bottled water are also included. All ground-floor rooms have direct access to the pool, while others have balconies with wicker seating. Bathrooms are decorated with gray tile floors, tan tile walls, large square sinks, and lighted mirrors; all have walk-in rainfall showers and signature toiletries. Suites feature separate soaking tubs, double sinks, and flat-screen TVs in the bathrooms; however, standard rooms only have showers.

Romeos Bar & Grillery is not only a highlight for guests, but for locals as well; it serves popular international fusion cuisine alongside refreshing cocktails and attracts a lively crowd. The free buffet breakfast is also popular, both for its quality and for its wide range of Western items. Room service is available. The outdoor pool is long and narrow, lined with padded wicker loungers and sunbeds, but it is in the shade most of the day and can lack sufficient seating at busy times. A free area shuttle is provided, as are 24-hour concierge services, free Wi-Fi, and an on-call doctor.
