The contemporary glass-and-concrete exterior nestled amid landscaped grounds gives way to a stylish lobby where children receive welcome bags at check-in. The expansive space has high ceilings with neutral and wood tones running throughout -- there’s tons of seating plus marvelous ocean views. The Lounge Bar has intricately decorated ceilings featuring traditional Balinese flourishes blended with eye-catching design, most apparent in the sculptures that hang overhead that simultaneously resemble butterflies, birds, angelfish, and the prow of a fishing boat. An outdoor garden is filled with trees and plants and has a sunbathing area where the hotel puts on White Magic Sunset events with live music and Balinese dancers at certain times of year. The on-site spa is a chic and tranquil place for a relaxing treatment while restaurant styles range from the trendy Feast to the wood-toned Bene, which offers excellent ocean views and has a modern rooftop terrace and draws guests from across Kuta. Hotel guests run the gamut from families and couples to business and solo travelers. 

The Sheraton Bali Kuta Resort is across the street from Kuta Beach and adjacent to the Beachwalk Shopping Mall, for guests needing a little retail therapy. There are countless restaurants, shops, and bars in almost every direction from the hotel and the area is packed with other hotels. The Hard Rock Cafe is a five-minute walk from the hotel while Kuta Square is a 10-minute walk. There are plenty of local art markets all around and Waterbom Park and Discovery Shopping Mall are also within a 15-minute drive. More tranquil Seminyak Beach is a 25-minute drive north, while Ngurah Rai International Airport takes about 20 minutes to reach by car.

Contemporary guest rooms have bright accents throughout, capitalizing on the hotel's proximity to the shimmering Indian Ocean. Every room has a balcony, and many have ocean views, while interiors are simple and chic, with polished white floors covered with attractive areas rugs with soft blue patterns. Floor-to-ceiling windows provide plenty of natural light and there are gray armchairs for seating. Dark wood furniture is arranged throughout and beds are made with white duvets and linens under oversized statement headboards. All rooms have flat-screen TVs, coffeemakers, free bottled water, air-conditioning, and minibars. There are pillow menus as well. Some rooms have daily fresh fruit and living rooms with couches, while the colorful Presidential Suite has panoramic ocean views and a sun deck with a hot tub. Tan marble bathrooms have glassed-in showers with rainfall showerheads and separate soaking tubs. Bathrobes and slippers as well as toiletries are provided, and while bathrooms are only separated from guest rooms by a glass wall, there are retractable blinds for privacy. Most rooms are tranquil and quiet, though some rooms do pick up a bit of street noise from busy Kuta outside.

International cuisine is offered for breakfast, lunch, and dinner at the open-kitchen restaurant, Feast. The breakfast included with some packages is served here, and features pancakes, waffles, an egg station, yogurt, and fruit. Authentic Italian cuisine with over 100 pasta dishes, Italian wines, pizza, and cocktails are provided at Bene. Local cocktails, wines, teas, and small plates are available at The Lounge, and all food and drinks receive good reviews.

The stunning outdoor infinity pool is surrounded by greenery and has wonderful ocean views. Blue tile lines the shallow children’s pool, and Bene Piscina sits poolside with small plates and drinks. Relaxing music flows through the full-service Shine Spa, which has Balinese-style facials, massages, and body treatments. A sauna as well as jetted tubs and showers with rainfall showerheads are also available.

Free weights plus cardio and weight machines are offered at the 24/7 fitness center while several computers plus a printer are provided in the 24-hour business center. Room and concierge services are also available 24/7. The free Play@Sheraton kids' club has an additional outdoor children’s pool and a large play area. Wi-Fi is free throughout the hotel, but a faster connection costs extra, and there is a fee for airport transportation. Babysitting services can also be arranged.
