Scene

Luxurious boutique resort set in beautiful, Feng Shui-landscaped gardens

Set in lovely, lush gardens, the Villa Air Bali Boutique Resort & Spa consists of 16 villas featuring modern Balinese architecture that includes sloped, thatched roofs and partially open-air designs. Surrounding landscaped grounds adhere to Feng Shui principles and bloom with tropical flowers, palm trees, and lush plants as well as soothing water features dotted throughout. The atmosphere is serene and feels secluded, though it’s a short walk to bustling streets filled with shops and restaurants. Guests are greeted under a thatched roof in an open-air lobby where gleaming, cream-colored tile floors are matched by a sleek front desk topped with a fresh flower arrangement. The on-site restaurant is similarly simple in style with an open-air design overlooking the green gardens, typical thatched roof, and a collection of tables topped in white linens. There’s plenty of lounge areas throughout the property, be it comfy, cushioned couches in a cabana by the pool, or lounge space in the small library.

Location

Secluded feel, but within walking distance of restaurants and shops

The hotel is situated on a quiet road in Kuta and its large, landscaped grounds make it feel secluded. The lively Petitenget road, lined with restaurants, cafes, and shops, is about a 10-minute walk away, while Seminyak Square is a five-minute drive. Though the beach is not within walking distance, the nearest one is about a five-minute drive and the hotel offers daily shuttle service. Other nearby beaches include Seminyak Beach (12-minute drive), Legian Beach (15-minute drive), and Kuta Beach (20-minute drive). The Ngurah Rai International Airport can be reached in 20 to 30 minutes by car and the hotel offers a free transfer.

Rooms

Beautiful, spacious villas with an array of modern comforts, luxurious bathrooms, and private gardens with pools

The resort offers one-, two-, and four-bedroom villas that feature modern Balinese decor and a partially open-air design. Thatched roofs give a breezy feel to large living rooms where contemporary sofas and rattan chairs are topped in white cushions that match the walls and gleaming tile floors throughout. The living room’s open-plan design also incorporates dining areas and kitchenettes or full kitchens. Sleek and simple wooden furnishings are understated, while lush greenery in the garden provides a vibrant backdrop to the neutral hues. Bedrooms feature romantic canopy beds and work desks. Other amenities include flat-screen TVs, DVD players, minibars (refilled daily), desktop PCs, electronic safes, and free Wi-Fi. Massive, modern bathrooms are the show stealers here, with beautiful soaking tubs, marble-topped double sink vanities, and luxurious walk-in rainfall showers. Some have a partially open-air design that overlooks tropical plants and palms. All villas have lovely private gardens with pools surrounded by shaded sundecks that offer comfy seating.

Features

Lush grounds with large outdoor pool, spa, and host of freebies like breakfast, afternoon tea, fruit baskets, Wi-Fi, and area shuttles

Breakfast is included in the rates (guests can choose between six different kinds), as is daily afternoon tea, daily fruit baskets, and daily minibar refills. There's a spa on-site spa with four treatment rooms, while the on-site library is stocked with a small collection of books. Though each villa is equipped with a private pool, the resort also has a main pool for common use, which is surrounded by lovely, lush greenery and offers loungers on a wooden sundeck. The hotel hosts a variety of events, including weddings. Cultural activities like cooking classes and soap-making classes are available. The resort offers free airport transfers as well as daily area shuttles, though these must be booked in advance and can sell out.
