Set on a side street near the main road, Adelphi Forty-Nine is a seven-story hotel with sea-green tinted windows and metal bars painted yellow, orange, red, and gray. Two bronze lions meet guests at the entrance, leading to a circular lobby done in floor-to-ceiling marble walls. Tailored to the needs of both short- and long-term guests, the hotel is modern and practical, featuring apartment-style rooms that have home comforts such as kitchens and laundry facilities, along with hotel services like daily cleaning. A restaurant and pool provide leisure opportunities on-site, but most guests spend their days exploring Bangkok or working in an office. The property is a decent base for guests traveling to Bangkok, who want a quiet setting not too far from public transportation. 

Located in the Thonglor area of Bangkok, the hotel is set on a relatively quiet side street, yet within walking distance of chic restaurants and bars, as well as malls such as Rainhill, Piman 49, and 49 Terrace. However, the hotel is a bit removed from downtown sights, about a 20- to 25-minute drive away. The BTS Thonglor Station is only a 10-minute walk away, and malls such as the popular Siam Paragon, Central World Plaza and Gaysorn Village are a few skytrain stops further. As the hotel is close to a number of main roads, it is just under an hour drive from Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport and the Don Mueang International Airport, depending on traffic. Adelphi Forty-Nine offers free shuttle service to the BTS Thonglor Station and the nearby Samitivej Hospital, as well as free parking. The hotel can arrange airport transfers.

All air-conditioned rooms are one-bedroom units done in an elegant, modern design. Rooms feature floor-to-ceiling windows that let in lots of natural light, a palette of serene colors accented by vibrant paintings, and a mix of dark- and light-wood furnishings and floors. Both the One-Bedroom Suites and slightly larger One-Bedroom Premier Suites feature fully equipped kitchens with microwaves and stoves, LED TVs with international channels and DVD players, free high-speed Wi-Fi, work desks, washer/dryers, separate living areas with sofas and tables, and furnished balconies. Excellent modern bathrooms have bathtubs next to rainfall showers, high-tech Japanese toilets, bathrobes, hairdryers, and a range of toiletries.

Meanwhile, the stylish Executive One-Bedroom Suites and bigger Executive One-Bedroom Premier Suites are located on the hotel’s top floor (seven) with spectacular views over the city. All come with in-suite check-in and check-out, free soft drinks in the minibars, and turndown service. Guests should note that the hotel does not offer twin beds.

Located on the rooftop, the hotel’s infinity swimming pool offers spectacular views of the city skyline, and a relaxing space to unwind on one of the surrounding loungers. While it is not large, the pool is sufficient for a dip. Adjacent to the pool, the small fitness center has cardio machines and free weights. Unfortunately, there is no spa. The all-day restaurant serves well-regarded international, Thai, and Mexican cuisine. Set on the first floor, the inviting urban-style eatery features a well-stocked long bar, and a collection of upholstered sofas, tables, and chairs. The restaurant has an al fresco area for outdoor dining. Wi-Fi is free throughout the hotel.
