The Avani Atrium is popular with business travelers, as it has extensive conference facilities and offers easy access to the airport and downtown. The hotel is ultra-modern, with its front desk and sprawling lobby set under rising columns with striking light installations and a towering art sculpture in the center. The imposing lobby, renovated in 2014, offers little seating, making it more of a space to pass through en route to the rooms and hotel facilities above it than an area for lounging. The hotel is popular with business travelers.  

The Avani Atrium is located just outside central Bangkok, along New Petchaburi Road. It's a 10-minute walk to the Petchaburi subway station, which makes it easy to get to other parts of the city, and the Makkasan station airport link line is about a 15-minute ride to Suvarnabhumi International Airport. Petchaburi Road gets congested and gridlocked during rush hour, and there's not many restaurants and bars near the hotel, so it can feel kind of isolated at night. This neighborhood is more of a business area, with lots of companies, so while it bustles by day, it goes a bit dead after sundown. 

Rooms at the Avani Atrium come in several types and sizes. All are modern, and include 40-inch flat-screen TVs, free Wi-Fi,  sofas, minibars, coffeemakers, safe-deposit boxes, bathrobes and slippers, hairdryers, and toiletries. Premier Rooms have showers but no tubs. Deluxe Rooms feature walk-in rain showers. Grand Executive Suites have kitchenettes with microwaves, dining areas, whirlpool tubs in black marble bathrooms, and hi-fi stereo systems. All rooms have large windows overlooking the city, but views are not spectacular.

The Avani Atrium has a good-size swimming pool located on the fourth floor, along with a poolside bar for snacks and drinks. A substantial breakfast buffet is included in the room rate. Benihana serves teppanyaki for dinner only and a grab-and-go market provides salads and sandwiches. Room service is available 24 hours a day. There's a large fitness center that offers cardio and strength-training equipment in a brightly lit room. The hotel has large conference facilities, with meeting rooms and conference rooms, and ballroom spaces with VDO conference equipment, LCD projectors, and screens. The ballroom can accommodate up to 3,000 people for weddings and other events. An Executive Club offers a sophisticated lounge plus free drinks and snacks. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the property.
