This hotel has existed for 15 years and undergone several renovations that have given rise to such design features as an ancient Egypt-themed fitness center and a couple of saltwater fishtanks. A gargantuan cement block consists of nearly two dozen stories, Nasa Vegas is popular with Thai business travelers visiting their company outposts in the Ramkhamhaeng area. It's also frequented by travelers with a one-night layover between flights or an early morning departure at the airport. Sparse hallways are hung with slightly garish oil paintings, and the vast lobby is equally hard on the eyes, with shiny metal accents, fake plants, and a wood-paneled fish tank. The restaurant is simple and cafeteria-like, with small wood tables and blue plastic tablecloths sandwiched between a basic wood-paneled bar and a windowed wall lined with guest computers. Designated smoking areas can make for some unpleasant air quality at this property, and the mismatched decor throughout is not exactly inviting -- but most guests are here for the convenient location and low prices, not for the style. 

The hotel is located next to the Ramkhamhaeng airport-link station, and the two are joined by a connecting pathway that also links a mini-mall to the property. The luxury shopping of Thong Lor-Eakamai is just 10 minutes by car, and the immediate area around the hotel, while developed, remains a lesser destination, and it's characterized by the large, highway-like road, other hotels, and commercial properties that mostly shut down at night. Siam Square is about 35 minutes on the BTS, and the airport is a direct shot (40 minutes total travel time).

The large rooms here, only some of which have been renovated, may harbor musty smells and the occasional stained sheet. Nevertheless, they're large and can be a good value for guests not seeking anything too fancy. All rooms have wall-mounted air-conditioning units that work most of the time, and some bathrooms have large tubs offering views onto the city. Decor-wise, the norms are wall-to-wall outdated patterned carpeting, jewel-toned satin bed runners, and wood laminate vanities or basic in-room countertops. Some rooms have floral wallpaper while other rooms' walls are painted plain beige or maroon. Bathroom style varies, with either a tub or a shower/tub combo; most bathrooms show heavy signs of wear, including grubby grout, tile mold, or rust around the mirror. All rooms have minibars, tube or flat-screen TVs with cable, and showers stocked with free toiletries.  

There is a large fitness center with an extensive amount of equipment, including treadmills and weight machines, and no air-conditioning. There are also billiards and squash courts. An on-site restaurant serves traditional Thai food along with Chinese and European cuisine, buffet-style and a la carte, though breakfast is not free. The mini-mall linked to the hotel has a convenience store and 24-hour market, accessible via an overpass. The hotel has three meeting rooms, some with DVD capabilities. Wi-Fi is available for a fee.
