Given that Soi 24, where the hotel sits, is a happening place in terms of restaurants and bars, most guests here will be going out. The on-site restaurant lacks a scene, largely due to this -- and the fact that many guests are long-term, and therefore relying on in-room kitchenettes. The newly renovated lobby would make for a great spot to relax, but it doesn't get much use other than for checking in and out. The swimming pool is also calm and uncrowded; its located in a separate building that can be confusing to reach. 

The hotel is geared towards the corporate crowd, although the rooms and facilities also are quite family-friendly, but this is more a quiet place to stay and enjoy the comforts of home as opposed to a resort. Young couples settling into Bangkok for awhile might find it a good choice, but those who want to do a lot of sightseeing and partying might find the location, especially during rush hour, to be quite off-putting. 

The President Park occupies a busy corner on Soi 24, a major side street connecting mega-artery Sukhumvit Road and Rama IV Road. Soi 24 is filled with ethnic restaurants ranging from Japanese to Indian to Thai and more,  and there plenty of bars to be found, as well as large supermarkets and department stores nearby. It is too far to walk up to Sukhumvit Road where the skytrain and major nightlife can be found, but the hotel does run a free tuk tuk shuttle to bring guests there. One drawback here is that during rush hour, the traffic on and around Soi 24 is horrendous, making it extremely difficult to go anywhere other than via the unpleasant and rather dangerous motorcycle taxis that run up and down the street.

The President Park attracts mostly guests on extended stays because the rooms here all come with kitchenettes, which feature full-size refrigerators, microwaves, hot plates, and plates, glasses, and cutlery. Rooms have plenty of space, are equipped with writing desks, large closet spaces, flat-screen TVs, and free Wi-Fi. The Executive Studio entry-level rooms are great deals as they feature open-floor plans along with the large windows that allow for lots of light. The Deluxe and Junior Suites are palatial and well-equipped for families. The only real drawback here is that there are no balconies and the views are pretty dismal, as the building is surrounded by other tall structures and almost all rooms look out on nearby urban chaos and clutter.

The hotel has several swimming pools, one of which is small and shaded and more suitable for children, while another is a full-sized and pleasant pool to sit around. Near the pools is a kids' playground and playroom for the young ones. Unfortunately, one has to access these via a very confusing set of stairs, elevators, and hallways, as these features are set in an adjoining building and condominium also under the same management. In the main hotel building, there is a decently equipped fitness center with modern machines, and a an appropriately named restaurant, Level 6, on the sixth floor. Due to there being scores of popular restaurants outside, this spot only sees the breakfast crowd and is pretty quiet the rest of the time.
