The 360 Hostel Barcelona occupies a stone building that's around 80 years old. Inside, the hostel feels bright and welcoming -- guests rave about how easy it is to meet other travelers here. Some areas of the property can look a little worn out, but everything is kept clean and neat. The reception area features worn wooden floors and white walls decorated with numerous posters and photos. Shelves are lined with books and travel brochures, and there's a row of desktop computers set against one wall. A cozy seating area near the front window offers a couch and two stylish wicker chairs below a playful paper lantern. Staircases lead up to the rooms, and some stairwells are decorated with vibrant wall murals. Guests tend to hang out near reception to use computers and join in the nightly activities, like paella night. The TV room, offering a soft couch and a pair of wicker armchairs, is another gathering place. Guests are typically international tourists, traveling alone or in groups. 

This hostel was built in the 19th century and is located in the Eixample District of Barcelona. El Born, an artsy neighborhood with cafes, bars, and designer boutiques, begins just a few minutes' walk from the hostel. El Born is also home to the Museu de la Xocolata (10-minute walk) and Museu Picasso de Barcelona (12-minute walk); its main avenue is lined with medieval buildings and begins at the popular Ciutadella Parc (eight-minute walk). The hostel is a 10- to 15-minute walk from Plaza Cataluna, which is considered the center of the city and where the Old City meets Eixample. La Rambla is a 20-minute walk from the hostel, while Passeig de Gracia, a major shopping and business area, is 12 minutes away on foot. La Sagrada Familia is a 23-minute walk from the hostel or 14 minutes by metro from Tetuan station (seven-minute walk). Barcelona-El Prat Airport is a 20- to 30-minute drive or about 45 minutes to one hour by public transportation. 

Rooms at this hostel are incredibly simple. There are wooden floors, white bunk beds with white-and-blue bedding, and small white or wooden tables. Walls are white and decorated with rows of tiny photographs. The hostel provides large lockers, bed sheets and linens, as well as reading lights and air-conditioning. Rooms have free Wi-Fi. Five different room types are available, including two-bed rooms with private terraces. Dorm-style rooms with four, six, eight, or 10 beds are also offered and some have balconies. Street noise as well as noise from hallways can be heard from inside rooms. Guests can borrow towels (for a fee) and hairdryers, and there are 24-hour hot (very narrow) showers. Narrow bathroom stalls with toilets are shared. 

Features here are typical of a hostel. There's a spacious kitchen with a large refrigerator, sink, stovetops, a coffeemaker, and a microwave. Dishes and cutlery, spices and oil, tea, coffee, and sugar are provided. There are communal wooden tables for dining. Several computers are available to guests in reception and there's free Wi-Fi throughout the property. There's also a games room with a ping-pong table and foosball, and a TV room offers DVDs and Blu-rays. Other perks include bike rentals and city maps, daily free walking tours, laundry facilities, and luggage storage. A different activity is offered every night, and can include paella night or free sangria, and there are nightly pub crawls. Reception is open 24 hours and there is no curfew. Unfortunately, breakfast, bar, and restaurant services are not provided.
