The Eurostars Ramblas has two main draws: its location right in the heart of the action, and a stylish design. The property occupies two traditional buildings in the centuries-old Gothic Quarter, but in contrast to the historic surroundings, interiors are contemporary and chic. Gleaming white floors, a textured silver wall, and a couple of yellow chairs with geometric patterns in black give the lobby a stylish feel. The underground breakfast room has a similar vibe, with lucite chairs and black tables that stand out against the white floors. This property is a good pick for travelers visiting Barcelona for the first time due to its central setting, but it doesn't offer great value. It features limited on-site amenities and services, and rooms are compact and lack most of the extras expected of a hotel in this price range, such as electric kettles and slippers. Still, those looking to stay in the heart of the action regardless of the price will be hard-pressed to find a better location. 

Eurostars Ramblas Hotel is located directly on Las Ramblas, one of Barcelona’s most famous boulevards. There are dozens of restaurants, shops, bars, and cafes within a couple of blocks of the hotel, and the area is lively and busy with tourists year-round. All major attractions in the Gothic Quarter -- including the Cathedral, Placa Reial, and Santa Maria del Pi Basilica -- can be found within a 10-minute walk of the hotel, and Drassanes metro station is just a three-minute walk down the street. La Boqueria Market and the Museum of Contemporary Art can be reached in 10 and 15 minutes, respectively, and La Barceloneta Beach in about 20. It is a 25-minute metro ride to Sagrada Familia Basilica from the hotel. The airport is a 20-minute away, and the express bus to all terminals stops in Placa de Catalunya, which is a 15-minute walk from the hotel. 

The hotel’s 55 rooms are decorated in a contemporary style that combines white minimalist furniture, tufted headboards in silver hues, and bold wallpaper with geometrical patterns in black and gray shades. Purple bed runners and bedskirts add some color, and dark laminate floors are an elegant touch. All rooms have long windows overlooking either the back of the building or the street, and some feature small, unfurnished balconies with views of Las Ramblas. Standard amenities include free Wi-Fi, flat-screen TVs with international channels, air-conditioning, safes, and minibars stocked with sodas, beer, water, juices, and candy, but rooms lack some of the extras available at other hotels in this price range, such as slippers and electric kettles. In an effort to add visual space, closets have been replaced by clothes racks, which means storage space is limited. 

Attractive bathrooms feature chocolate-brown tiles with designs in copper, shower/tub combos or walk-in rain showers with rainfall showerheads, good hairdryers, and an array of toiletries. However, some guests may find the frosted-glass doors lacking in privacy.

Don't expect much in the way of feature here, as the hotel lacks a full restaurant, meeting space, and wellness facilities of any kind. However, a small room in the basement does serve a limited but tasty buffet every morning, complete with a few traditional Spanish items such as potato omelet and Serrano ham, along with other continental options, including cheese, cereal, fruit, pastries, and bread. Breakfast is not included in the standard rate, although there are bed-and-breakfast rates available, or it can be charged to the room upon arrival. The only other service available on-site is airport transfers, which can be booked at front desk for a fee.
