This hostel is situated in a former home that was constructed in 1860, which has since been converted into a guest house. Guests enter the property through an iron gate that leads to a courtyard and the lobby. Interiors are cozy and colorful, and the lobby has yellow and white walls, a tiled floor, brightly colored lighting and accessories, and two sofas for lounging. A flat-screen TV hangs above the mantel, and a vending machine dispenses snacks. Books, magazines, and games are available, and there's a computer set up for guests to use. It's a nice place for hanging out and meeting other guests. There's a distinct communal vibe here, as with most hostels, and guests can also interact in the kitchen, or on the garden patio or rooftop terrace. The hostel attracts mostly young people, either traveling alone or as part of a couple or group of friends.  

This hostel is located in a quiet residential area of the Horta-Guinardo District of Barcelona. Around the hostel are apartment buildings and a bar; there's also a supermarket within walking distance that's handy for stocking the communal kitchen. The Valldaura Metro station is a five-minute walk from the hostel, and it's a 30-minute ride straight into Plaza Catalunya, in the city center. From there, it's easy to walk to most major city-center sights including Las Ramblas, Barri Gotic, and MACBA -- the city's contemporary art museum. Alternatively, from the Vilapicina Metro station (also a five-minute walk from the hotel), it will take about 35 minutes to reach Gaudi's Sagrada Familia. Barcelona–El Prat Airport is a 40-minute drive or a little over an hour away by public transportation. 

Beds are available in rooms of eight, four, three, and two, and some have en-suite bathrooms. The rooms are bright, with tiled floors, yellow walls, red blankets over white sheets, red or green lighting fixtures, and orange or green lockers. Large mirrors -- not quite full length -- are provided. Some rooms even have little balconies. In rooms that do include an en-suite bathroom, the bathrooms are small, with stand-up showers, pedestal sinks, soap in large containers, and paper towels in a dispenser. Sheets, blankets, and towels are included in the rates. A communal bathroom has four small sinks and two shower stalls with doors. 

Like any good hostel, the majority of features at Feetup are communal, and all are well-kept and bright. The communal kitchen is equipped with a stove, microwave, toaster oven, toaster, coffeemaker, and two refrigerators. There's a double sink for washing dishes as well as open shelves, labeled by room numbers, that provide a place for guests to store their food and supplies. A small TV room has the basics -- just a flat-screen TV and a sofa and coffee table. A garden patio is a cozy place for hanging out, with brightly colored miniature plastic tables and chairs under the trees and a hammock hanging between the trees. The small rooftop terrace also is a nice place for hanging out outside, and it even has adult-size furniture. Wi-Fi is free in public areas. Guests should keep in mind that stays over 10 days are not permitted.
