This hotel has a casino and all the exciting gaming action that comes with it, but it’s a smaller and generally quieter property than the much larger resort casinos nearby. For that and other reasons like its beachfront location, lovely pool complex, and seafood buffet, Treasure Bay has a loyal clientele base of couples and small groups that return year after year. From the outside, the boxy orange building lacks charm, though it feels a bit livelier at night when the pool glows neon blue. Inside, the soothing lobby features polished tile in shades of beige and brown. Below the curved ceiling, natural stone pillars frame oversize armchairs that are bathed in soft lights. Among the most eye-catching common spaces is the Blu lounge, which lives up to its name with a long bar lit up in neon blue. It’s a dark and softly lit space that includes chairs in front of a bank of floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the Gulf of Mexico. The bar, like the popular pool complex, is a peaceful place to relax, and both are particularly refreshing for a casino property. 

Treasure Bay is located directly across busy Beach Boulevard from the Gulf of Mexico with a few other hotels, some restaurants, and residential streets behind it. A few restaurants are within a three- to five-minute walk, and a small beach is across the street. The hotel also offers a shuttle to the beach for a fee. The Mississippi Coast Coliseum and Convention Center and Jefferson Davis Presidential Library are fewer than five minutes away by car. The Hard Rock Hotel and Beau Rivage Resort are eight minutes away by either car or free trolley that makes stops at the various casinos. Downtown Biloxi, Keesler Air Force Base, and Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College are about 10 minutes away by car. Gulfport is 12 minutes away driving, and the Gulfport-Biloxi International Airport is a 20-minute drive. Driving times to Mobile (east) and New Orleans (west) are one hour and 85 minutes, respectively, along nearby Interstate 10.

Guest rooms at Treasure Bay are spread out among a nine-story tower and two smaller buildings that abut the pool and garden area. All rooms share the same design elements, and are spacious and clean. But the style feels a little dated, and rooms can appear somewhat dark and dour due to their tan walls and dark patterned carpeting. Royal blue and white touches help to brighten things up a bit, while black padded-leather headboards, and tan upholstered armchairs lend some plushness. Reddish-brown wood furniture includes nightstands, armoires, and desks that have black granite tops and simple black upholstered, steel-frame chairs. Bathrooms are the most distinctive and upscale parts of the rooms. They feature wood vanities with spacious, black granite surfaces, and beige tile floors and polished marble walls. There are walk-in showers with partially frosted glass doors, or shower/tub combos. Rainfall showerheads and soap/shampoo dispensers are mounted on the walls. Standard rooms come in King and Double options, and there are eight suites with whirlpool tubs, and eight loft-like rooms with high ceilings and whirlpool tubs. All rooms have small private balconies or patios that typically overlook the pool/garden complex or the Gulf. All rooms also have flat-screen TVs in both the bedroom and bathroom areas and free Wi-Fi. Armoires are stocked with electronic safes, and guests receive a free box of cookies on arrival. Rooms are generally quiet and comfortable, but some room-to-room noise can be heard. 

Treasure Bay is a smaller casino hotel but it still offers plenty of amenities for enjoyment and relaxation. The casino includes the standard table games and slots, and there's a Players Club with added benefits. However, it’s the multi-level pool that’s most distinctive here. The natural stone patio area includes an infinity pool, shaded, cabana-style areas, and a bar and grill (with brick-oven pizza) on a large, covered deck that features live music in the summer. The poolside grill is one of five on-site dining options including a fine-dining restaurant, tapas lounge with live entertainment, casual restaurant serving all-day breakfast, and a buffet. Some guests have reported that even though the buffet is nonsmoking, smoke from the nearby casino can be detected in the restaurant and even the lobby. The boutique sells Treasure Bay-logo apparel along with other clothing and jewelry. Free Wi-Fi is accessible throughout the hotel. There's also 3,600 square feet of event space including five meeting rooms and a ballroom. Free valet and self parking are available. Room service is available 24 hours. An ATM is on-site, and no pets are allowed in the hotel.
