Aemilia Hotel has a bright, welcoming lobby with a cream marble floor and dark brown reception desk. There's also a communal lounge with brown and cream leather sofas and plenty of books and newspapers for guests to read. The bright and airy feel continues throughout the hotel -- the restaurant has lots of large windows allowing for natural light to fill the space, and the polished wood floors and white leather chairs give a contemporary look. The bar has a more trendy feel with soft blue neon lights, glass tables, and stylish leather furniture. The majority of guests here are business travelers, though couples on holiday are common as well. 

It's a 15-minute, pleasant walk on attractive streets from the hotel to the main square, Piazza Maggiore, and the top sights of Bologna. There are plenty of bars, restaurants, and cafes in the vicinity. Plan on a 15-minute drive to Bologna Guglielmo Marconi Airport. 500 parking spaces are available in the hotel's garage for a daily fee. 

The rooms in the Aemilia are clean, functional, and spacious with comfortable beds and creature comforts. Each room has a safe, climate control, free Wi-Fi, small flat-screen TV with satellite channels, minibar, and hairdryer. Standard Rooms are the most affordable, and the most dull. These have a neutral color scheme, with beige carpet, light wood furniture, and plain white bed linen. An upgrade to the Panoramic Room offers a more stylish setting, as well as more space. Contemporary floral artwork and a huge flat-screen TV, along with stylish furniture make it look a lot more luxurious than a Standard room. Bathrooms include dark brown tiles, high gloss white sinks, and toiletries. There are no baths in any of the rooms, but they all have a walk-in shower. Rooms on higher floors have better views and are quieter. 

The Aemilia is ideal for business travelers. There are nine bright and modern meeting rooms equipped with the latest technology, and a large conference room which can accommodate 200 people. Wi-Fi is free throughout the property. The first floor terrace can also be used for coffee breaks, lunches, and business dinners. 

A small fitness center is available for working out. The on-site bar includes a coffee machine and sells snacks and sandwiches along with cocktails. A breakfast buffet of fruits, cereals, cheese, meat, and pastries is served every morning. Gurme Restaurant serves Italian for dinner. Room service is available with limited hours.

The best feature of the Aemilia is the rooftop terrace. It’s a quiet spot that offers amazing panoramic views of the city from chic sun loungers or a large hot tub.
