Found Hotel Boston Common is a no-frills, value-oriented hotel in the heart of downtown. The circa 1877 brownstone makes a nice first impression on arrival, with a deep blue canopy covering the entrance, adjacent table and chairs combo, and window planters. A small wood front desk next to the elevator and marble staircase serves as the lobby. A rack of travel brochures and a blue leather chair next to a wood fireplace mantel are nearby. The floors are a nice white tile. Adjacent is a small and simple dining area with several round tables and chairs where guests can grab coffee, tea, juice, and continental breakfast. Most of the hotel's guests are couples looking for a budget spot for a Boston vacation.

Found Hotel Boston Common is conveniently located in Boston’s Theater District in the heart of downtown. It’s a five-minute walk to Boston Common, Boston Public Gardens, and Tufts Medical Center. It’s possible to walk to the Hynes Convention Center in 15 minutes. Multiple MBTA Green Line stations are only a one- to three-minute walk, and the Boston Back Bay Orange Line station is a seven-minute walk. The subway takes about 10 minutes to get to Logan International Airport and about 20 minutes to reach Fenway Park. The Theater District is a busy, safe neighborhood with several restaurants, nightclubs, and shops a brief walk from the hotel. 

Rooms are offered in various combinations of Twin, Full, Double, Queen and Queen Suite, but whatever the choice, expect dated decor and cramped quarters. All rooms are decorated with dark wood including a poster bed which is framed by a deep red wall behind it. Some of the furniture is aging and chipped. The rest of the walls are standard beige. Most rooms don’t have a desk and some don’t have chairs. Beds dominate the rooms, and in Standard Twin Rooms, the layout is so cramped, the bed abuts the wall on one side. The Queen Suite has a separate-yet-small sitting room with couch as well as a mini-fridge that other rooms don’t offer. Windows provide much needed light. Some bathrooms, like in Queen Standard Rooms, have windows as well, but bathrooms are uniformly small, most with a tiny pedestal sink and no vanity or countertop. While generally clean, the grout on the beige tile floors and around the shower/tub could use a good scrubbing in some rooms. Free Wi-Fi, voicemail, and spring water are provided, and there's a coffeemaker and flat-screen TV mounted on the wall. It’s a busy neighborhood with nightclubs nearby, and some street noise can be heard, more so on lower floors.

A free continental breakfast is included in the room rate, and vending machines offer snacks and drinks. A few tables and chairs outside provide streetside seating. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the property, and there 's a 24-hour, self-serve laundry facility and a small desk with one computer and printer made available to guests. Dry-cleaning services are available, and guests can access a nearby pool and fitness center for a fee. Parking is available across the street in a garage.
