The family that runs the Seven Gables Inn is friendly, receiving rave reviews for their hospitality. From the outside however, the building is a bland mix of brick and wood, with exterior stairs and hallways leading to the guest rooms. Inside, the lobby and breakfast room are both painted a cheerful yellow. The lobby has only one couch and two plaid chairs, but the stone fireplace and piano add charm; it also houses the one-computer business center. The breakfast room is filled with community-style tables and floral photographs. There's a small outdoor swimming pool with some chairs and loungers, though it faces the parking lot.

Seven Gables Inn is located just off 76 Country Boulevard, the main strip of Branson. It's about a five-minute walk to the Titanic Museum and Ripley's Believe It or Not. The Branson Theatre District is under a five-minute drive and the Branson Airport is 25 minutes away by car. Parking at the hotel is free and ample. 

The 78 rooms at Seven Gables Inn range from Deluxe Rooms with queen or king beds to a King Jacuzzi Room that has a whirlpool tub by the bed. All rooms have traditional wooden furnishings and limited decor -- a mirror and painting adorn the pale-yellow walls. Bedding includes either bland striped quilts or shiny red comforters in a damask-like print; beds are comfy thanks to pillow top mattresses. There's also an armchair and square table with a bible displayed. All rooms are outfitted with a mini-fridge, microwave, coffeemaker, individually controlled air-conditioner, and flat-screen TV. Bathrooms have shower/tub combos and a separate vanity area with a hairdryer mounted to the wall. Views are uninspiring. All rooms are non-smoking and handicap accessible rooms are available.

Each morning a free breakfast is served in the breakfast room, which consists of an egg casserole baked by the owner, biscuits, waffles, fruit, cereal, donuts, and refreshments. Next to the parking lot, there's a small outdoor pool with chairs and plastic loungers. The hotel can help with discount show tickets and often has a weekday special that's $99 for a one-night stay and two tickets to a show. Wi-Fi is free throughout the hotel.
