The Bo18's bright and happening lobby features a reception desk and bar with plenty of tables and chairs, and a good selection of free newspapers and tourist brochures. Vibrant oranges and blue decor, plus potted plants, add to the warm and welcoming vibe. There's also a private inner garden with plants and flowers as well as tables and chairs for peaceful moments. Upon arrival, guests -- most of whom are travelers on a budget -- are greeted with a drink voucher. 

The Bo18 is located in the Eight District, near the Corvin Passage and shopping mall. It's a seven-minute walk from the Museum of Applied Arts, while the Hungarian National Museum is a 15-minute walk from the hotel. Line 3 of the Budapest Metro stops at the Corvin-negyed station, a six-minute walk from the hotel. The airport is a 20-minute drive away. 

The muted tones and simple decor give the rooms at the Bo18 a comfortable and casual vibe, but they do look a bit like dorm rooms, with simple light-wood furniture and solid tan or red bedspreads. Modern features include flat-screen TVs, mini-fridges, and safes big enough for laptops. Superior Rooms have extras such as DVD players, free tea, coffee, and mineral water, and free early check-in/late check-out (when available). Wheelchair-accessible and allergen-free rooms are also available.

The hotel's elaborate (and free) buffet breakfast includes a large assortment of pastries, meats, cheeses, and fruits as well as sparkling wines. There's even a chocolate fountain on weekends. Breakfast is served in a bright room with long communal tables and a children’s area with games and toys. The hotel also has a Finnish and an infrared sauna, a tanning booth, and a whirlpool hot tub. The fitness center is small, but has both cardio and weight-training machines. There's also a single laundry room for guest use and Wi-Fi is free throughout.
