This large, busy hotel is firmly rooted, visually speaking, in the corporate '80s: drop ceilings, mirrored pillars, and wood paneling abound. Hallways are long and bare with dark, sometimes worn, carpeting. Oil paintings by local artists are one unique feature and hang high on the walls in the lobby. The entrance and common areas are frequently bustling, often with large tour groups and business conference attendees. The restaurant occasionally hosts live music. The overall atmosphere is business-oriented and efficient.

This hotel sits on a busy city street a couple of blocks from Keleti, Budapest’s main train station, slightly southeast of the center of Pest. There are lots of retail shops in the surrounding areas, and some inexpensive eateries as well as fast food. Some guests have noted the area may be slightly dicey at night. Besides the train station and the egress it affords from the city, the hotel is a block and a half away from a plethora of bus lines that lead directly downtown.

The rooms here are dated, with worn green carpeting, tube TVs, and frosted plastic light covers in the bathrooms. Most guests, however, report cleaning services to be good and the beds to be comfortable. Furniture consists of dark wood laminate built-ins, a TV stand, a table, and a couple of chairs. Rooms have air-conditioning, a hairdryer, a safe, satellite TV, an electric kettle, a minibar, and a shower/tub combo. Smoking rooms are available.

Laundry and room service are offered here, in addition to a car rental desk, a hotel safe deposit box, transfer, and babysitter service. The hotel maintains a spa with a sauna and hot tub, as well as an extensive amount of meeting space that can accommodate up to 500 people. There are two casual restaurants, also dated in style, both of which provide buffet and à la carte service.
