The K+K Hotel Opera is a bright and functional hotel, but has a somewhat corporate feel to it. The lobby is big and breezy, with shiny floors that make it feel a bit like a shopping mall. This is a hotel for business people, as its real pull is the choice of seven airy conference rooms and business lounges with free newspapers and coffee. It’s a good choice for culture buffs, too, as the Opera House is just a two-minute walk across the road.

The K+K Hotel Opera is conveniently located near many of Budapest's major sites on the Pest side of the Danube, a 15-minute walk from the Chain Bridge and about the same distance from Parliament. Vaci Utca, one of Budapest’s liveliest and most exclusive shopping areas, is also about a 15-minute walk from the hotel. The Hungarian State Opera is so close that you might even be able to hear the singers, just two minutes away on foot. The Opera metro station is the same distance; from here, guests can reach the Szechenyi Thermal Baths by metro in about 10 minutes. The airport is just over 20 minutes away by car.

The rooms at the K+K are well-furnished and fully air-conditioned, and come with hairdryers, small flat-screen TVs, minibars, tea/coffee-making facilities, telephones, and safes. Both smoking and nonsmoking rooms are available. Rooms are generically decorated in light woods, tans, and browns, with hints of red that give them a much needed splash of color. Bathrooms are modern and have heated floors and hair-dryers; most also have glass-walled walk-in showers although rooms with tubs are available. Rooms facing the courtyard can be noisy. 

The K+K Hotel Opera has seven meeting rooms of various sizes for conferences and corporate events. Lunch, dinner, and drinks can be purchased on-site at the Gallery Bistro Bar throughout the day. The gym is modest, with cardio machines, weights, and large mirrors and there's a sauna for guest use, although it's only open in the afternoon and evening. A printer, tea- and coffee-making facilities, and international newspapers are available for free in the Business Lounge. The hotel lacks a pool, but Broadway Fitness is a five-minute walk from the property, and has a pretty nice pool.
