Superb location that makes most of the city's biggest sites within walking distance
M-Square Hotel is located in District VII, just off a main street in the center of Pest, inside of Madach Square. The pedestrian-only square is also home to a few restaurants, another hotel, and shops. From here, it's a four-minute walk to Deak Ferenc Square, Budapest’s major transit hub where travelers will find the Blue, Red, and Yellow metro lines, M2A bus stop, and the number 47 tram. There's even a Hop-On, Hop-Off Bus stop around the corner from the hotel. Erzsebet Ter park, the Danube riverfront, Vigado Concert Hall, and a wide range of shops, cafes, and restaurants are all within a 10-minute walk.
The iconic Chain Bridge is a 15-minute walk away, linking Pest to its older counterpart, Buda. That side houses Buda Castle, the National Gallery, the Royal Palace, and the Budapest History Museum (among other sites); all can be reached within a 30-minute walk. Visiting the Opera House, the famous Szechenyi Baths, or the Parliament will require public transport. Budapest Airport is less than a 30-minute drive, or an hour by public transportation, via the Blue metro line and connecting bus.
