The Days Inn is housed in a two-floor modern building on grounds with lawns and flowering trees, and a seasonal outdoor pool in a gated courtyard. The lobby living room is a fairly pleasant space, with hardwood floors and graphic-print armchairs and a rug. There's a breakfast area -- a modern, uncluttered space that gets ample natural light -- though there isn't much seating. Many guests are Texas A&M families, in town for Aggie football games or to visit kids attending the college. 

The Days Inn is situated on University Drive in a commercial area with restaurants, bars, shops, and supermarkets. The Experience Bryan College Station visitor center is a little less than a five-minute walk, and a movie theater multiplex is a little more than five minutes by car. The entrance to Texas A&M University campus is a seven-minute drive, and Reed Arena is roughly nine minutes by car. Texas State Highway 6, Post Oak Mall, and the Brazos Valley Museum of Natural History are a little more than a five-minute drive, as is the center of Bryan with its dining, shopping, antiques mall, and Greyhound station. The George Bush Presidential Library and Museum is about a 10-minute drive from the hotel, as is Easterwood Airport. 

Guest rooms at the Days Inn have a simple, budget look that's dated, but they get a dash of vitality from the colorful salmon-orange walls, red floral-print bedspreads, and soft blue upholstered furniture. Some rooms have elements like graphic-print carpeting and exposed brick. Overall, they're spacious and pleasant, and all come with air-conditioning, flat-screen TVs, microwaves, mini-fridges, coffeemakers, and free Wi-Fi, but units lack safes and there's no safety deposit boxes at the front desk. Suites with jetted tubs and seating areas are also available. Bathrooms feature separate vanities, and all come with hairdryers, toiletries, and shower/tub combos.

Property amenities are fairly limited at the hotel, but there are few nice features on-site. The 10-meter outdoor swimming pool is open seasonally and situated in a gated courtyard with a large deck. While the pool is unheated, the water is shallow and it gets direct sun, so it’s rarely too cold for a swim. The hotel lacks a fitness center, but the front desk staff can recommend public gyms within driving distance. Free coffee and tea are available in the lobby throughout the day, and a free continental breakfast is on offer, featuring make-your-own waffles and a wide range of cold items, but there's limited seating in the breakfast room. There is no restaurant, but several are within a short walk of the hotel. Other amenities include a coin-op laundry, business center, meeting room, small lobby minimart, 24-hour front desk, and free on-site parking (with space for larger vehicles). Wi-Fi is free throughout. The hotel is housed in a two-floor building with no elevator, so guests with limited mobility may wish to request a ground-floor room.
