The Courtyard at Marriott Bogota Airport's bold black exterior with water fountains and trimmed hedges sets the stage for what's inside this surprisingly sleek airport hotel. Chic and shiny, with lots of copper, silver, and gold accents throughout the public areas, the hotel makes a statement that both jet-lagged jet setters and business travelers in suits can appreciate. The common areas and Centro restaurant pop with color. The elaborate and abundant light fixtures in the restaurant wouldn’t be out of place in a swanky cocktail lounge. Gray couches and club chairs provide a place to rest in the lobby. The vibe is energetic and international in the common areas, but quiet and relaxed elsewhere. 

The Courtyard by Marriott Bogota Airport is located right off of Avenida El Dorado, a main street in Bogota. The hotel is roughly a five-minute drive from El Dorado Airport, or 10 minutes’ ride via public transportation. Hotel guests can take advantage of the free airport shuttle service, which runs hourly. As with most airport hotels, it’s not centrally located to Bogota's main attractions, but some are within a short drive, like Bogota Botanical Gardens (15 minutes), Simon Bolivar Metropolitan Park (30 minutes), Gran Estacion shopping mall (30 minutes), and the National Museum (35 minutes). Be warned: traffic can be heavy in Bogota, so don’t expect to pack a quick sightseeing trip into an afternoon. 

This eight-floor hotel has 140 Superior Rooms and four Executive Suites. Design-wise, the rooms are clearly geared towards business travelers with plenty of outlets, a desk, small couches, and lots of closet space. Maps of the city above beds provide a personalized touch and a neutral palette of grays, tans, and browns dotted with the occasional purple or yellow, looks tasteful.

Amenities include free Wi-Fi, flat-screen TVs, air-conditioning, a mini-fridge, ironing board, safe, bottled water, a minibar, and coffee and tea amenities. Both the Superior Rooms and the Superior King Rooms are 323-square-feet. The Superior Rooms have either two single beds or one king bed and a sofa bed, while the Superior King has one king bed and a sofa bed. Executive Suites feature separate living and sleeping areas, with slightly flashier purple decor accents. Guests whose bodies are on different time zones will appreciate the soundproofed rooms and pillow menus for sleep. 

The marble bathrooms are spacious and well-lit, with large mirrors. Bathrobes, towels, Paul Mitchell toiletries, and a hairdryer are included in every room. 

The hotel has enough amenities to keep guests happy on-site for a day. A 24-hour front desk helps with awkwardly timed arrivals/departures and the free hourly airport shuttle. The modern fitness center is fully stocked with free weights, treadmills, exercise balls, and LifeCycle cardio machines. For corporate travelers, there are five meeting rooms totaling 2,637-square-feet of meeting space, and a 24-hour business center. Wi-Fi is free throughout the hotel.

For food, Restaurante Centro serves American and international cuisine for all three meals. Guests receive an extensive free breakfast (continental, buffet, or full American), as well. Room service is available with limited hours, and local restaurants will deliver to the hotel. There's also a small bar and a grab-and-go convenience store on-site. Other amenities include free newspapers in the lobby, laundry services, and a concierge desk. Parking is free.
