Bottom Line

Repeat guests love the mid-range Dina's Paradise Hotel and Apartments because of the beach proximity, gorgeous swimming pool, and comfy rooms. This smaller hotel with 10 apartments and one suite is centrally located to a sandy beach with calm waters (via steep stairs, common in Greece) and about a 15-minute drive to Corfu. The area and beach have plenty of restaurants, water sports, and shops geared toward tourists. Back at the hotel there's a nice size adult's pool and kiddy pool with a terrace and views of the Ionian Sea. The pool-adjacent bar serves cocktails and snacks, plus breakfast in the morning (for a fee). Apartment-style rooms have full kitchens and more sea views. Note that some rooms are only accessible via steep steps without an elevator.

Scene

Lush and picturesque value hotel with Ionian Sea views

Dina's Paradise Hotel and Apartments is quiet and relaxed. Guests are more likely to hear birds chirping in the olive groves than horns honking from the street. Past guests report that the air smells like sea salt and lemons. From the pool, it looks like you have the island to yourself with almost uninterrupted views of the tree-lined mountains and unbelievably blue ocean. Though kids are welcome and catered to at Dina's Paradise Hotel and Apartments, the small amount of available rooms means space and peace for guests of all ages.

Location

In Agios Gordios on the Greek Island of Corfu

Agios Gordios is a picturesque corner in the mid-west area of Corfu Island, a Greek Isle that's not as built-up or crowded as more famous Santorini or Mykonos. The hotel is located within walking distance of a pharmacy and limitless restaurants, both on the beach and above it. The beach bars are known for attracting locals and staying open into the wee hours. More cosmopolitan Corfu town is about a 15-minute drive from the hotel. Parking is free.

Rooms

Spotless apartment-style rooms with full kitchens and Ionian Sea views

Clean rooms with full kitchens and fabulous views are almost unheard of at this price point, but you'll get all that and more in the 10 apartments and one suite at Dina's Paradise Hotel and Apartments. Apartments are spacious (some sleep up to four) and have a contemporary design style with pretty patterned wallpaper and bright curtains over the patio doors leading to furnished balconies. Kitchens are stocked with everything from silverware to an electric oven and full sink. Bathrooms are on the smaller side but beautifully maintained and spotlessly clean with glass enclosed showers. Flat-screen TVs and a welcome bottle of local wine are nice touches.

Watch out for twin beds pushed together to make a double. Kids may have to make due with a trundle-style pull-out couch. All rooms have double glazed windows and air-conditioning.

Features

Swimming pool, beach access, and a bar

Breakfast is served poolside on glass tables under a shady tree each morning for an additional charge. There's a kiddy pool nearby and plenty of sun loungers and umbrellas for everyone around the larger adult pool. The bar offers wine, cocktails, and snacks throughout the day. There isn't an on-site restaurant or room service. The public beach is accessible down a steep flight of stairs, though there's an extra charge to rent a chair and umbrella there. Water sport rentals and a dive shop are nearby, but not owned by the hotel.
