Folia Apartments are located on a quiet side street, a 10-minute drive from the shops, restaurants, and historic harbor of Chania town and a 15-minute hike to several sandy beaches. The property is within easy driving distance of the tropical-style beaches at Elafonissi, the ancient monastery of Chrysoskalitissa, and the famous Samaria Gorge, where hikers flock to walk the scenic 15 kilometer route that leads to the isolated beach of Agia Roumelli. The Chania International Airport is a half-hour drive away. 

Folia has a total of 45 air-conditioned apartments scattered over a steep hillside overlooking the pool, with distant views to the sea. Rooms are luminous, but have old-fashioned pinewood furniture and bare white walls. All rooms include balconies or terraces with sea, pool, or garden views and come with kitchenettes, offering a budget alternative to dining at the hotel’s tavern. Coffeemakers, kettles, and small flat-screen TVs are also in each room. Wired Internet and Wi-Fi is free, but past guests have reported connectivity issues. Rooms closest to the pool area are popular with families, although they can be noisy during the daytime. Guests seeking a more peaceful environment should request a room towards the rear of the complex, away from both pools and the main road.

The most striking amenity at Folia Apartments is its medium-size pool that's crossed by a narrow white pedestrian bridge and surrounded by lounge chairs. The pool bar serves a small range of drinks and snacks and is a popular spot during the day. The tavern overlooks the pool and serves Greek cuisine and Cretan specialties at dinnertime, although some past guests have complained that the menu lacks variety. Parking on the hotel premises is available for a fee (guests are advised to book in advance) and street parking just outside the property is free. Wi-Fi is free throughout the property.
