Friendly and well-equipped, the family-run Giorgi's Blue Apartments has views of the water from nearly everywhere on its grounds, from the many terra cotta terraces and courtyards to the expansive pool deck. The aesthetic takes its inspiration from classic Greek island villas, with lots of blue and white stucco, terra cotta tiles, and flowering vines and potted plants. Thanks to a location outside Chania, the hotel's atmosphere is laid-back, focused on the pool and beach below; most guests are families or older couples who spend their days at the beach, around the small pool, or sightseeing nearby, then go into Chania in the evenings to enjoy the restaurants and nightlife. The hotel does offer some organized events for children, and barbecues and the like for all guests. Rooms are simple and plain, as are common spaces, but the focus is on the sea views.

On a hillside along a narrow road, a 15 minutes' drive from the cafes, restaurants, museums, and attractions of historic Chania, Giorgi's Blue Apartments is located within easy reach of many tourist sights. The hotel itself can be somewhat difficult to find, but its seaside location is relaxed and picturesque; there are no restaurants or sights nearby. There are several sandy beaches within short driving distance, and the trekking opportunities in The Samaria Gorge aren't far, either. Other nearby sights include the tropical beach of Elafonissi, typical villages of the White Mountains, and the fabled Minoan ruins at Knossos. 

The rooms at Giorgi's Blue Apartments are, of course, all apartment-style accommodations, designed for two, three, or more people, making them perfect for families. All are clean and bright, if relatively simple and sparse, with splashes of color in fixtures and fittings, based around a simple, blue-and-white theme with clean-lined Ikea-style furnishings. All have balconies or terraces, furnished with table and chairs, and some have panoramic sea views. All are equipped with kitchenettes -- complete with ovens, microwaves, coffeemakers, refrigerators, and plenty of cooking utensils -- as well as large separate lounge/dining areas, making them ideal for budget-conscious couples and families. Guests seeking peace and quiet should avoid rooms near the pool and pool bar, which can be noisy.

Giorgi's Blue Apartments has a large, sea-view pool with a lounger-filled deck and casual pool bar. A free breakfast is served daily, and there's an indoor bar as well, but the hotel lacks a proper restaurant. A small range of drinks and snacks can be ordered at all hours, or the staff can arrange for food to be delivered. The hotel is set on a small bay and has a small, rocky, semi-private beach with direct access, where you can swim in the clear waters below. There's also a small children’s playground and a limited selection of board games. The hotel has free Wi-Fi.
