Daios Cove Luxury Resort & Villas is a luxurious hillside resort facing a dramatic cove. It is one of the top hotels in Crete, so not surprisingly, its spa is the best hotel spa on the island -- and is among the best in Greece. The 328-room luxury Avra Imperial Beach Resort & Spa has an impressive array of on-site features, but one of its best is its beautiful and expansive spa. The comprehensive wellness facility is centered around a huge and attractive indoor pool with two large skylights overhead, fountains and hydromassage loungers in the water, and curved wooden recliners around the marble-and-polished-wood edges and on the outdoor patio. Other spa features include whirlpools, a foot massage path, a Finnish sauna, sensation showers, relaxation areas, a large fitness studio overlooking the indoor pool, and a hair and nail salon, where kids' braiding and fish pedicures are available. There is a huge treatment menu using Apivita products, and couples' rooms with hot tubs available.

The Blue Palace is a luxury seafront resort with bright and breezy contemporary Cretan style. The Elounda Spa and Thalassotherapy, its full-service thalassotherapy spa, features a skylit heated indoor pool lined with blue-cushioned loungers, plus three thalasso pools with water jets, a whirlpool, and separate men's and women's saunas and steam rooms. There are 24 low-lit treatment rooms (some with sea views, one for couples, and one for Thai massage) for services like traditional olive oil massages, and a beauty salon for mani/pedis. Treatments use upscale skin-care products by Valmont, Anne Semonin, and Cinq Monde. Treatments for kids age 8 and up are also available. A sea-facing 24-hour gym is part of the spa, and sunrise yoga classes on the resort's private beach are on offer.

The 245-room Ikaros Beach Resort & Spa is a luxury beachfront property in northern Crete. It's busy with families and couples, but there are many places to relax, including Aura Spa. The spa houses an indoor pool with a whirlpool on one end, sensation showers, a solarium for relaxation, and a wood sauna with views of the surrounding mountains. The list of treatment options available is extensive. There's also a spacious fitness center with panoramic windows, several cardio and strength-training machines, and free weights.

This 435-room, upscale beach resort offers a restful atmosphere and solid list of on-site features for both couples and families. The huge and beautifully designed spa is one of Aldemar's most impressive spots. Its thalassotherapy pool -- with fountains, jets, multiple sections, and a bridge -- is as enormous as the cavernous pagoda-like room it is located in. There is a beautiful mosaicked room with a hammam and sauna, plus a nice fitness area with a decent range of equipment. The facilities are free with a spa treatment, or otherwise cost a fee.

Located in a remote area on Crete's northern coast, the 234-room Stella Palace Resort & Spa offers extensive features and constant entertainment for guests. Notable among the offerings is hotel's massive luxury spa, which offers a jetted indoor pool surrounded by cushioned loungers and floor-to-ceiling windows and adjacent whirlpool and rainfall showers. Other features include saunas, a steam room, fitness center, and full menu of body and beauty treatments. Serene treatment rooms (couples' rooms available) come with private rainfall showers and changing mood lighting. Just note that the fitness center and indoor pool are not included in the hotel amenities, and come with fees.

A beautiful and quiet adult-only resort, Thalassa Beach Resort features a well-reviewed spa with a variety of body treatments and massages, as well as spa packages and treatment rooms designed for couples. The indoor pool is small but appealing, with skylights and wicker loungers and potted plants along the edge. Candles and colored lighting make the whirlpool and sensation showers romantic spots, and there is a traditional sauna. Massages are also available in a breezy cabana on the beach. 

This elegant and charming 24-room boutique hotel occupies a 17th-century mansion in the heart of Chania’s historic center. Its candlelit underground spa is small but atmospheric, with a tiled hot tub, rainfall showers, and a marble steam room. Massages and other treatments use natural products by Greek brand Apivita.

The 680-room Creta Maris Beach Resort is an upscale all-inclusive resort on the Aegean Sea, a 10-minute walk from Hersonissos village. Hammam Spa, the resort's full-service spa, offers massage and beauty treatments, as well as a fitness center, sauna, and Vichy shower room. The namesake feature -- the hammam steam room -- is made of glass and scented with eucalyptus oil. Outside of it is a spacious and dimly-lit relaxation lounge with couches and cushions.
