The rust-colored exterior of the building, with white details and Spanish roof tiles, creates a charming first impression that's typical of the chain. The outdoor parking lot is spruced up with palms. However, some common areas could use more cleaning attention. There are three floors, which are accessible by stairs or elevator. High ceilings and glass automatic doors provide a lot of natural light in the lobby that’s decorated in colorful cushioned chairs and silver and wooden end tables. The pet-friendly hotel offers lawns at the rear of the property for dog walking along with a sun deck, an outdoor pool, and a hot tub -- all overlooking the beach. The hot tub has a wheelchair lift. A mushroom-shaped kids' fountain is in the shallow section of the pool and lounge chairs dot the deck. Outdoor showers are located by the beach entrance, a wooden staircase. Overall the atmosphere is relaxed, but noise from children or Spring Break students can sometimes disrupt the peaceful vibe. 

The property’s oceanfront location, with a staircase leading directly to Daytona Beach, sets it apart from other chain hotels. It’s three blocks from North Atlantic Avenue and Seabreeze Boulevard, where there are restaurants, bars, shops, and convenience stores. Amusement rides at the Daytona Boardwalk are also within walking distance. The Daytona Lagoon water park is a two-minute drive. The Ponce de Leon Lighthouse is a 30-minute drive. The Jackie Robinson Ballpark is 10 minutes by car. It’s a 15-minute drive to the Daytona International Speedway, which is near the Daytona Flea & Farmers Market. The Daytona Beach International Airport is a 15-minute drive.
