Bottom Line

For travelers doing business in Denver’s bustling Tech Center, the four-pearl Hyatt Regency Denver Tech Center is a solid choice with many attractive amenities, including 30,000 square feet of meeting space. The property is located well outside downtown Denver, so it's less than ideal for leisure travelers. Highlights include a full-service restaurant and bar, cafe, large 24-hour fitness center, heated indoor pool, plus concierge and room service. Its 451 guest rooms are clean and spacious, and while some may find decor a bit bland, units are well-equipped with flat-screen TVs, iPod docks, mini-fridges, coffeemakers, and free Wi-Fi, but there are no microwaves. For a stay with free breakfast, which the Hyatt doesn't offer, travelers can consider the nearby Hampton Inn & Suites Denver Tech Center.

On weekends, expect a more peaceful atmosphere, with some leisure travelers and business travelers extending their stays by an extra day or two. Rooms

Spacious and comfortable, with flat-screen TVs, mini-fridges, iPod docks, and coffeemakers

Soft earth tones are the dominant colors in the hotel's comfortably spacious guest rooms. The tan walls, carpeting, drapes, and padded headboards create a somewhat monotone look that’s saved from being too dreary and drab by large windows that usher in lots of natural light. Granite counters and tigerwood-style furniture are nice touches, but overall, some may find decor a bit bland. Standard Kings and Doubles are a generous 365 square feet, and include work desks with office chairs, upholstered armchairs, and dressers with deep drawers. Larger Deluxe Kings and 12 Suites of varying size also are available. Amenities are a plus, and all units come with flat-screen TVs, mini-fridges, iPod docks, coffeemakers with free Starbucks coffee, free bottled water, safes, and free Wi-Fi. Bathrooms are only average in size, but include wide tan granite vanities, magnifying mirrors, and shower/tub combos with nice tiling and rainfall showerheads.

Views from the upper floors are typically quite nice, with some featuring panoramas of the distant Rocky Mountains, but some lower-floor rooms overlook rooftop air-conditioning units. Upper floors tend to hear less ambient noise from the busy atrium, but all rooms are relatively quiet.
